Thinking of naming your son after sharon ? Think again.

A group of Israeli rabbis has put together a list of names they say should be off-limits to Jewish children - including Ariel and Omri, the given names of Israel's prime minister and his eldest son. Saying the name Ariel is problematic because it could beckon an angel instead, drawing down his wrath, the rabbis caution. Omri - the name of an evil Biblical king - should be taboo because of the highly negative connotation. This according to a Haaretz article.

Makes me want to say their names all day as long as the evil goes to them, Looks like omri is not welcome any more Reservists Want Omri Shomron Out of Unit in this arutzsheva new item.
"Army reservists in the unit in which Omri Sharon serves have asked their commander to dismiss the former MK until the end of his trial for improper conduct and filing false documents. Sharon, son of the Prime Minister, resigned as MK after his indictment earlier this year."We are religious and secular, right wing and left wing," soldiers wrote their commander, Etai Yehudai."

While the pulsa denura was invoked against sharon a few monthes back I am still waiting for them to put him in cherem. A few monthes ago after the arabs desecrated the shull's in gush katif Chief Sephardi Rabbi Sholomo Amar said that any Jews perpetrating attacks on Mosques or any other religious structures will in effect have a Cherem, or ban, put on them

OK! lets get this straight, Sharon expelles 10,000 jews from their homes and sets in motion the descrution of the shull's and gets off free YET anyone who desecrates a mosque in retaliation gets put in cherem! Bunch of sick cowardly rabbi's we have these days.

Back in gush katif on tisha b'av when we blocked the junction to the army i was whitness to this.
On Saturday night, when teenagers tried to confront police forces at the settlement's gates, Rabbi Aviner and Rafi Seri, the chairperson of the headquarters of the Fight for the Gush Katif Area, tried to stop them to no avail.

The way aviner tried stopping it was by chocking and punching at least 3 guys, One of which is my good friend shalom babayov. For those hebrew speaking readers you can read testimony here

Chazal teach us that in the time of Moshiach, Chutzpah will become strong, but that doesn’t mean we have to accept it and be resigned to it. That doesn’t mean we should sit idly by and not protest their brazen Chutzpah; that doesn’t mean we should be quiet.

I was discussing this topic with my good friend shlomo wollins from www.israelreporter.com about the sad situation of "rabbi's" these days. he tells me "I learnt in mishnayos sotah that moshiach will come when the youth disrespect the rabbi's, I could never understand it till now. When youth will reject the fake rabbi's THEN moshiach will come"
