Firstly.. Masd props to the brave youth there now. Closed milletary zone or not. We have full right to be anywhere we choose in eretz yisrael.

I fully believe the riots are AMAZING here you have youth who are sick of listening to the yeshu council of lemings. And decided DAI! enough! to hell with haflaga!
They got mad and rightly so! and they went on a rampage.

Now, I dont support attacking soldiers or policemen or any jews. I know that love will not stop the expulsion.. But right now there is no expulsion.. Blocking roads I support.. rioting and mayhem to a point is good... Ynet just published this

Ok heres what happend... I left to chevron with 3 friends today, We got to the exit by givat ha'avot at about 4pm and we walked up the the police roadblock. Initialy they would not let us in. But my friends pulled the whole "we are american tourists" bit.. and they let us go by...
Which was funny considering my friend was wearing by orange gush katif shirt saying "gush katif ani nishava... lo nishkach lo nislach" And considering my roomate was wearing his army jacket with a old pollard sticker... I was wearing a yellow hoodie that says "eretz yisrael b'dam uvaesh" But thank g-d my jacket was closed...

So we start walking only to notice itamar ben gvir in his car by the road, The cops had stopped him... Now i know itamar for years. But this was one time i had to ignore him.. Thank g-d he dint see me.

So on we walked....

About halfway between kiryat arba and chevron, I notice a white skoda car pull up... My brain lurches.. First thing that hits my mind is "Shabak!!" Memory's of being dragged off into these cars rush thru my head.. So i just ignored em as they tried to talk to us....

A miracle!! a car pulls up.. room for all 4! we hop in and speed off... well we get to machpela area, And we wanted to go to avraham avinu neighberhood to check the situation...

Car gets cut off by ANOTHER white skoda.. door is opend up. They all whip out badges showing police ID... Sababa i think to myself.. just undercover cops no biggie!
So we get out where we are told to stand on the side. We whip out american ID and figure no problem's.. they will let us go.

IN YOUR DREAMS BUSTA!!

The 4 undercover cops start talking and pointing at me.. they pass my US drivers license around... Now my roomate starts to tell me, in part sign lang and part me reading his lips that these cops know me from tapuach..

HUH?!?!? You gotta be kiddin me!! I moved from tapuach 2 years ago!!!
Furthermore.. These cops wouldent believe that i lost my hearing... So they start to give me a "hearing test" I was like Hello?!?!? L'azazel its FREEZING out here!!...

Well well guess who shows up?? the white skoda from back by derech ha'avot.. Now these guys i knew! upon further look i realized that the 5 guys in the car were shabak from here in jerusalem... We had a few run ins. Most notably them searching my apartment with no warrent..
My roomate recognized them as well.

So the jeru shabak crew starts to tell the cops that indeed I cant hear... So then according to my roomate they start to discuss what to do with me.. Should they arrest me ??
And you wont guess who decides to join the party... ANOTHER white skoda!! this car containing cops I am very famillier with.. they were in gush katif and visited us daily in maoz hayam to haras us..Finally they are like ok you can go into machpela to daven but you have just 30 min....

Hey I was in no position to argue about my rights to be in chevron all i desire and for sure to daven in the me'ara however long I wish... And frankly i wanted to get far away from these guys.. So we went in.. A very very sad site greeted me.. The colel was empty, The main outdoor section was empty and only in the hallway inside was there about 20 people..

We davend mincha and said tehilim, we went outside and by the police station there.. the cops point to their watches.. ok i'm like so your gonna arrest me huh ? GO FOR IT!
Instead they tell us to get lost and if they catch us in chevron they will arrest me for violating a shetach tzavai sagur (closed millatery zone)

B'seder ok.. So we hitch back to k4 where me and my roomate promptly got out of the car..
There was maybe 20 people standing around and my brain was shooting and just like pounding the big question...

WHERE IS EVERYONE ?!?!??!!

10 minutes later we are told that a large group of people are breaking thru by giborim path..
So we jog over but after 10 minutes it takes us to get there.. empty.
So we hitch home, I read on the news that they blocked the entrance to jerusalem..

As for myself you will find me tomorow standing by the checkpoint exiting kiryat arba by the road to chevron with signs protesting.. Frankly I dont care if it is just me there..
And I dont either care if I freaze...

I am back in jerusalem for another hour, I came back last night from chevron. Mostly because i am sick and needed to rest here. Plus my frigin arnona bill is due. They said if we dont pay they will evict us... so i told city hall that if they attempt to evict us i will do the following:

1) file a petition to the supreme court for a injuction against evicting me, on grounds that the state has not provided us with alternate housing + compensation.

2) As a means of protest i am boycotting all goverment bills, untill the goverment changes its ways.

3) yehudi lo megaresh yehudi!!!

4) if the city takes any mesure to expell me, They will then be forced to expell themselfs.
City hall hasent paid taxes in years ? heck who pays the arnona on the keneset building ?

5) if they attempt to expell, us my crazy hilltop colleuges may or may not block the roads...
That is something after all we do want to avoid!

In the end i just paid the damn bill, my point is i am on my way back to chevron.

For the first time, Israel's military has been given authorization to use live fire against Jewish protesters. Israeli security sources said military and police commanders have been given permission to use live fire to repel attacks by Jewish residents andtheir supporters in the West Bank city of Hebron.

The Jews, who have so far avoided the use of firearms, have been protesting government plans to expel11 families from an unauthorized neighborhood. "We are always concerned about this possibility [of using live fire]," Police Asst. Comm. Shlomo Efrati said. "The main problem is youngsters, violators of the law, who have come to the city over the last few days."

The sources said the decision came in wake of briefings to Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that Jewish protesters were endangering the lives of Israeli troops in the city. Mofaz and Olmert were told that the militants were guided by rabbis who opposed the dismantling of Jewish communities in the West Bank. "In recent days, extremist elements have violently attacked security forces personnel who came to enforce the law in Hebron," Olmert told the Cabinet on Sunday. "The government will notcountenance the wild and unrestrained behavior that has taken place in recent days, especially last night in Hebron."

Olmert said he has ordered Israeli security chiefs to "act assertivelyin preventing the continuation of such phenomena." He warned that "whoeverraises his hand [against Israeli officers] will be severely punished." He did not elaborate. Hours later, an estimated 500 police and soldiers streamed into Hebron with horses, water cannons and anti-riot gear. Witnesses said police fired stun grenades and tear gas toward Jewish protesters. There were no reports of serious injuries.

In another incident, a military brigade commander, Col. MordechaiBaruch, cocked his weapon and pointed it toward Jewish youngsters, some of them wearing masks to avoid identification. Anyone following the news will know that lately there has been some sort of rioting going on in chevron. This is not the work of bored extremist teenagers I can assure you. This is a valueble lesson learnt from gush katif. On sunday night the week of the expulsion. Thousands of youth streamed into the neve dekalim junction and basically went crazy. Every army jeep and car approaching was smashed up. This is what can be called as "flexing some muscle"

The youth in chevron are proving a few things,

1 that when the time comes they can unleash hell.
2 that unlike in gush katif when we had such "notable rabbi's" like aviner etc.. telling us what to do! In chevron there are no bosses.
3 yesha council of lemings is smart enough to keep the hell away
4 we have been to jail and we are not scared!
5 crying and begging does not stop the bulldozers, no matter your behaviour it wont stop further destruction.

Ok so this established let me bash a few people.

The fury brought forth by the youth of gush katif at the likes of aviner and the yesha council to quote you eli ben haroush from atzmona who was born in the katif block "how dare these outsiders tell me how to fight"

Back in the battle of the gush, There were self apointed "heads" these lemings were in fact misguided souls who when not betraying us outright, were tying us up.
Effi eitam, bentzy lieberman, pinchas wallerstein, zev zombish, rabbi aviner.. were just a few.
Anyone not adhering to the set guidlines (they actually wrote up a flyer, laying out the accepted ways of protest) was disowned, attacked and bashed. By those who in reality did not even represent us.

Now here is what i am working up to....

Years ago some really smart men in ireland got together and founded the IRA as a milletary arm of fighting for their indapendance. Yet you see unlike us jews, the irish actually could agree on a few things (not the "orange" irish) And so in all of their brilliance they started the sin fein party. Transelated as "only thus!" Which if you know was the same slogan as lechi (also known as the FFI or the stern gang) RAK KACH! only thus, they shouted.

So back to the irish, With a political and millatery arm working together they could do ANYTHING! The IRA bomb a army barracks... The sin fein responds "well it was invitable... imperilisam does drastic things to people" and so it went...

And i'm sure you guessed it by now... The arabs here do the EXACT same thing. A terrorist blows himself up... Saeb eskrat goes on TV saying "occupation and curfews etc... cause these type of things.... there is nothing we can do to stop it, the people have had enough and this is what they resort to"

Trust me, it works wonders... Why do you think the pali-bums are so darn popular ?
Where in any normal society suicide bombing is horrible and disgusted... in israel when it's by the arabs.. the west accepts it.

Now back to my curent blog....

When we block roads, Instead of the fools at the yesha council capitolizing on it! They go and bash us! and this is 1000% counter productive!!!

It just ruins the entire opertunity and it also backfires to the yesha council.. because no matter what no one will listen. so the public see's they represent no one!

In chevron we are ALOT smarter! daily statements by chevron spokesman noam arnon are setting a messege, "what can we do. the youth are obviusly upset"

For about 90% of my day, My brain is doing "defragmanting" the other 10% when my brain is at somewhat fuctional I am usualy A in the shower or B fighting with my bank clerk at hapoalim. NOTE: my internet is back up!

So my internet died, Baruch dayan ha'emes... well hopefully we will get some techias hameisim in the morning. It seems that bezek has a very bad sense of humor, choosing to cut off my internet at 3 am. ok ok its my fault i did not pay the bill!
But i never got a bill in the mail!! I swear shabak must be stealing my mail.. Why is it that after the expulsion of gush katif, I have not recived a SINGLE piece of mail sent to me ?? I should just have people address the letters and send to shabak HQ.
Now being that i'm not the type to dial 199 and wait on hold for 3 hours till i get some rude ignorant operator, who barks as if you are trying to steal his last remaining piece of bread. And then tell them "hey lookit here, you guys didnt send me a bill nya nya nya boo boo" I HATE BILLS!
So my internet is down, I played roughly 20 games of solitare (and lost them all) I ate enough food to shame king kong.
I learnt some torah, Read a chapter of dave barry's guide to vacation... which i now have a mad huge stomach ache from laughing so hard after eating! I HATE BEZEK!

While I may be a horrible blogger, I feel fourtunate to know alot of the jewish bloggers out there.
Most of the bloggers up for JIB voting have a few things in common.
1 they are jewish
2 they have a education
3 they are fairly intelligant (well, we are discusing jews)
4 they have profesional jobs (after all jews controll the world)
5 they were against the expulsion of gush katif
I on the other hand, went to yeshiva. I hold no form of highschool diploma. Heck i dont even know proper grammer..
My inteligance is equal to that of the shabak (fairly low) my job considers of pissing off my roomate... oh wait!
I do have a very successfull (thank g-d) ebay business and I am maybe 1 of 10 shomer shabbos jews that are a power seller gold.

Business is booming b'h. I am comfterble in my apartment in jerusalem. We have DSL and 3 computers. TV / DVD clean clothes, nice soft bed. Its warm and I have food in the fridge.
Not to mention i am a coffe addict and trust me.. geting 20 oz's of coffe every morning in gush katif was a huge mesiras nefesh!

Sunday the news was abuzz regarding the army/ police's closing of the jewish legion.
I spent 14 monthes in tapuach, I raised dogs, I trained them, I patrolled with them and I guarded with them. Yes the dogs were trained to identify and attack arabs. Arab's who sneak into the settlement with the intent to butcher jews. As to the success of the jewish legion I cannot vouch. I know that the legion was started back 4 years ago at a time when jews were being butcherd daily.

The original legion that i was in 3 years ago. Was composed of highly motivated young men and women. Both jews and gentiles, Religious and secular.

Trainers consisted of those like dave, He was a former USMC recon unit trainer. Many of those in the legion ended up joining elite army units...

Turns out while mine was accepted and finished, He has some trouble... Misrad hapnim notified him that he has a tik plili (open criminal case) With the police, This dating from august 17 the day of the expulsion when he was arrested by kisufim "Ileagaly entering the gaza strip.."

As my friend ari said "Feels like i'm in israel" He rollerbladed from canarsie to midtown manhaten(8 miles) in 20 degree weather. He got smart tuesday and wedensday night and slept at work. If new yorkers think this is bad...

FINALLY are we seeing some decent service from bezek etc.. Because If it takes 2 monthes to install my DSL i would have gotten cable! As less companies are staying goverment owned and hopefully we can crack the monopolies.. Israel's economy would flourish!

Five IDF soldiers sustained light wounds after a Qassam rocket landed in a military base south of Ashkelon Thursday morning.
The rocket landed around 9:45 a.m. near the base’s dining hall, which was crowded with soldiers and officers at the time of the attack. The battalion in question has been deployed to the area to address terror threats in the northern Gaza Strip.

It turns out the goverment knew this was going to happen!

Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz has instructed the IDF to prepare for an expected terror wave from the Gaza Strip, Israel’s leading newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Wednesday.
During a meeting with IDF Southern Command officials Tuesday, Mofaz ordered forces around Gaza to prepare for a renewed, extensive terror
campaign.

The remnants of that dynasty were transplanted to other Arab territories: Faisal I was installed as the King of Iraq, and his brother, Abdullah I, became the King of Transjordan, a newly created country known today as Jordan. So, who are the Jordanian people?
Who are the people of Iraq? In a recent poll, the majority of Iraqis identified themselves as Arabs or Kurds, as Sunnis or Shiites, as members of this tribe or that. Only 3% of respondents identified themselves as Iraqis. Does the Iraqi people exist? And, if yes, what distinguishes it from other Arabs?
The truth is that Arab society today remains mostly tribal, and their personal allegiance to their tribes transcends most other loyalties. Beyond that, they are Arabs. Beyond that, they are Muslims. If our planet was attacked by extraterrestrials, Arabs would choose their side in the conflict not based on their membership in the spieces called Homo Sapiens, but on the aliens' willingness to convert to Islam.
Their tribal mentality may seem incredible in the modern world but Arabs do not live in the modern world. The absence of progress in the last 14 centuries affected not just the sciences and technology. Accepting their pedophiliac fuehrer as the last prophet, they consented to live the rest of their history according to the wisdom of the 7th century C.E. Dar-el-Harb moved on. Dar-el-Islam remained what it had been from its very beginning.
How can we presume to understand the mentality of people separated from us by 14 centuries of our progress and their stagnation? And yet, we keep doing exactly that. The entire “peace process” is based on the idea that the Arabs would agree to peacefully coexist with Israel under, at least, some conditions. Arabs have never — never! — given any indication of such a possibility. So, why do we keep trying to appease them as if appeasement had ever brought the desired peace to the appeasers? Because we project our own love for peace on our enemies, while those enemies hate us much more than they love their own children and project that hatred on us.
The anarchy unfolding in abandoned Gaza will not help Israel. The Arabs there will not do anything they haven't done a million times before. The world knows it and keeps hating Israel. Basic decency is not the defining quality of the humankind. Israel was crucified by the International Court of Justice for a futile attempt to defend itself with a fence. Meanwhile, real atrocities that regularly take place on this planet attract no attention from governments, or the press, or the public. No matter what terrible things transpire in Gaza, they will never help Israel's struggle for survival.
Today, jihad is only unfolding. We haven't seen the worst of it yet. Contrary to our patrinizing reassurances, our enemy will never miss a slightest opportunity to hurt us. Israel, Europe, the United States, and all of Western civilization are bound to suffer one devastating defeat after another until we realize that Islam is our mortal enemy and begin acting accordingly by declaring a total war against it.
With our current leaders, we don't have the chance of a snowball in hell.

Monday's signing ceremony in Geneva comes a week before a conference of the 192 signatories of the 1949 Geneva Conventions, on December 5-6, 2005, that is widely expected to formally recognize a "Red Crystal" alongside the Red Cross and Red Crescent symbols already in use. This “Third Additional Protocol to the Geneva Conventions” is expected to pave the way for Magen David Adom in Israel’s inclusion in the International Committee of the Red Cross. Daniel R. Benny Solomon, 38, an officer with the Jerusalem Immigration Police, coordinates the monitoring of illegal residents in the capital, especially those who are here under UN protection. He has been following the process in the field for three years, sometimes arresting people who have submitted requests for refugee status, but whose cases, like that of the engineer, are still pending while they go about with the temporary residency permits issued by the UN.

The Jerusalem area, says Solomon, is a magnet for Ethiopians because of its proximity to the Ethiopian church and to the consulate in the city. "But they are not the only ones. We've arrested hundreds of people here from different countries in Africa, as well as Romanians, Turks, Chinese and Bulgarians. They're all going around with these UN papers in their pockets and when we catch them, they pull them out and we have to politely let them go. There are thousands of people like this in the country and the State of Israel knows nothing of their existence.

"He works as a cleaner at a yeshiva not far from here, and he has a wife and a 4-year-old son who was born in Jerusalem at Bikur Holim Hospital. He came into Israel as a tourist and decided to stay. Six years ago, to the best of his recollection, he filed a request with the UN to be granted refugee status, and since then, his permit has been automatically renewed every six months. It is sent to him in the mail.

His wife, a non-Jewish Ethiopian, is also residing in Israel under the protection of the UN Convention on Refugees.

Maybe they have simply been forgotten? "Actually, I hadn't gone there in a long time," says Asagdum Agis in Hebrew. "But I was there a month ago, because of the boy's preschool, and I asked them to help me get a discount from the municipality. I don't earn that much. I make NIS 3,000 and pay $300 in rent, so I asked for a discount."Asagdum Agis knows of other Ethiopians who have permits like his and live in the consulate building. Solomon knows, too, but he is forbidden to enter there. "As far as we're concerned, it's foreign territory," he says. "And the police are absolutely not allowed to enter the territory of a foreign nation." The Ethiopians who were looking out the windows while he was checking Asagdum Agis' permit didn't seem that confident of being able to rely on international law. Just to be on the safe side, they fled inside and hid behind the locked doors and shuttered windows.

Even Israelis who favour pulling out of Gaza sense the plan is being bulldozed upon them, without adequate public input."We are calling for civil disobedience on a mass scale," Porat said yesterday. "We want to get 150,000 supporters in Gaza, so that when the time comes it will be physically impossible for anyone to move that many people." Porat maintains disobedience is a job for civilians. "We don´t want disobedience in the army. But we believe the result of this plan will be thousands of soldiers refusing their military orders," he said. "So what we´re saying is, ´Don´t let it come to that.´ Give us a referendum or new elections. If the people are given a say in Sharon´s plan, we will stick by it, even if the decision is to withdraw. We won´t like it. But we´ll accept it."

Neveh Dekalim Physician Operates Upside-Down on Patient: “This Corrupt Regime Has Turned the World Topsy-Turvy”

On Saturday night, which happened to be the anniversary of the liberation of Gaza in 1967, Dr. Sudy Namir, Chief Physician at the Neveh Dekalim Clinic, performed a skin operation at the clinic, hanging upside down above the patient.

On Thursday, June 2 2005, the day the Israeli government decided to set 400 terrorists free, Dr. Namir was so shocked that he decided he had to do something that would shock as well. He went to one of the industrial plants in Gush Katif and had himself hung upside down from a forklift. For about twenty minutes he “operated” on a doll in order to find out if he could do the same on the living person.

The experiment was a success, whereupon the good doctor announced that he would indeed perform the procedure, in his clinic this time, under the proper conditions.
Tonight he operated on a young man. At his side were paramedics from the Gaza Coast Regional Council Security Department, as well as a well-known dermatologist from the United States, who had come to give him support for what he was doing

After the operation was successfully concluded we asked Dr. Namir to explain what he was doing. He explained:

“You’re right. This is a crazy thing to do. Completely crazy. But after all, it’s nothing compared to the other things that are going on around us, that are much crazier. While the Arabs around us don’t stop for a second their terror attacks, our government has freed four-hundred Arabs with proven connections to acts of terrorism in which Jews in the Land of Israel were killed. At the same time this same government is putting in jail for an indefinite period of time people loyal to their homeland. Last week Arabs who had murdered Jews were permitted to take high school diploma exams in jail, but not Jewish youths who were accused of disorderly conduct. The Attorney General decided to deprive the latter of this right.

People arrested for murder and rape are released until they are convicted, but these students are being kept in jail indefinitely.

They are the victims of a devious and corrupt regime. The world is truly topsy-turvy.
It is told in the name of R. Nahman of Breslav that once upon a time famine struck a land and only a single grain of wheat was left. They knew that anyone who ate that grain would become insane. So they decided that each would draw a letter on the other’s forehead so that at least they would remember that they used to be sane.

Why I did now in front of the cameras, 38 years after the liberation of Gaza, is truly strange. But that’s exactly my purpose. A key figure in the establishment of settlement in Yesha:
Already at a young age, Baruch started his public career. He joined the "Jericho nucleus". He participated in all of the aliyot and struggles over "Sebastia" and in the creation of the settlements of Gush Emunim during the 70's. During the early years, he was active in the establishment of Ofra, Mitzpeh Yericho and Kedumim. He participated in the activities of the Elon Moreh nucleus and left after living for 8 months in Rojev, which was forcefully evacuated.
Baruch refused to accept the compromise that was reached, and went to live in Shechem in '82, and he was removed from there when he entered a hotel in the city to live there and to set up a Jewish outpost.
During his activity on behalf of the renewal of Jewish settlement in Hebron, he was removed from there. Due to his activities in the territories at that time, Fuad ben Eliezer ordered that he be forbidden to enter all of Yesha, since as soon as he was removed from one place, he would start up again in another.
When the struggle over Yamit began, Baruch went to live there and helped to establish the settlements of Atzmona, Hatzer Adar and Maoz HaYam, as well as the yeshiva in Ophira.
In 1984, after his marriage, Baruch went to live in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood of Hebron, and immediately afterwards he was one of the founders of the Admot Yishai (Tel Rumeida) neighborhood, where he still lives in a caravan together with his wife and 9 children.
Over the years, he helped to establish many more settlements all over Yesha.
Baruch was one of the first people called upon by Nati Ozeri HY"D to help the hilltop settlers. Together with Adir Zik and Israel Bermeson, he set up a fund to assist the hilltops. The fund helps to set up hilltop settlements and assists in all stages of the struggle.
Greater Israel:
Over the decades, Baruch has been considered the life force of the determined struggles for Greater Israel, within the frameworks of: Gush Emunim, the Movement to Stop the Retreat from Sinai, and in all other movements operating with similar purposes.
In most cases, Baruch prefers to participate behind the scenes. His wisdom and courage during the struggles serve as a model for thousands to courageously keep up the fight without being deterred by threats from the authorities.
Baruch fought vigorously against the "pragmatism" that has permeated some Yesha public figures and the Right, and saw in this phenomenon a disaster leading to the weakening of a strong stand in favor of Greater Israel. On this issue, Baruch subscribes to the Lubavitcher Rabbi's doctrine that it is absolutely forbidden even to speak to Arabs about any surrender of land, which constitutes a danger to millions of Jews - let alone to actually give up even a tiny piece of the Holy Land.
The right-hand man of Rabbi Meir Kahane ZT"L HY"D:
For 25 years, Baruch was considered the student and the right-hand man of Rabbi Meir Kahane, with whom he became affiliated while still a boy. Rabbi Meir Kahane HY"D came to Baruch's Bar Mitzvah when the latter was already an activist in the movement.
For the first time in his life, Baruch was arrested at age 14 as he was blocking traffic with Rabbi Kahane, at the time of the American Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's visit to Israel to finalize the agreements to leave the Sinai during the '70's.
During his first years of activity in the Kach movement, he was an energetic activist out in the field. He initiated brazen actions against the missionary movements and was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to an apartment of missionaries. For many years, he led the militant front lines in Judea and Samaria, to act with a firm and uncompromising hand against the Arab enemy.
For ten years, he was the spokesman for the Kach movement. In every election in which Rabbi Kahane ran, he was among the main activists.
In 1984, when Rabbi Kahane successfully ran for the Knesset and won a seat, he appointed Baruch as the secretary of the Knesset faction, and in this framework, Baruch organized the political activity of Rabbi Kahane and the Kach movement.
Knesset Speaker Shlomo Hillel worked to impose limitations on Rabbi Kahane's actions, and tried to impose countless changes in the Knesset regulations against Kach's activities. Among the changes he instituted was to make it possible to throw out Baruch from the Knesset building in light of the complaints of Arab and Leftist MKs. But Baruch kept up his activities. He is especially remembered for greatly helping to amend the "Who is a Jew" law, securing the freedom of the Jewish Underground prisoners and harassing Arab MKs.
He participated in hundreds of demonstrations and rallies organized by Rabbi Kahane, by whose side he stood, even getting arrested many times together with him.
After Rabbi Kahane was murdered, Baruch was elected as the head of the Kach movement's secretariat, and ran for the Knesset as the head of Kach, but his candidacy was banned by the High Court, claiming that he was continuing directly on Kahane's path.
He continued to be one of the leaders of the movement until the latter was outlawed after the Baruch Goldstein affair in 1994.
With the outlawing of Kach, Baruch announced, together with the whole Kach administration, that he was quitting any activity in the movement. In spite of this, the media and the authorities continued to tag him as the leader of the Kach movement.
The struggle over the Sinai:
The struggle over the Sinai was the high point of Baruch's career on behalf of Eretz Israel. He was one of the first ones to go down to Yamit to live as soon as the rumor broke of a decree to destroy the settlements and Yamit. He participated in the organization aiding the struggle, "Gan Hayarok" in Neot Sinai. He also had a hand in the establishment of Atzmona and lived there. Immediately afterwards he went to live in Hatzer Adar and organzied a powerful and uncompromising struggle that included 7 attempts to take back land as the last evacuation was being carried out, together with the Israeli army's withdrawal and the entry of the Egyptians.
He helped to establish Maoz HaYam in the Sinai and, together with his friends, organized the opposition to the Yamit establishment, which refused to actively fight the evacuation of people from Hatzer Adar. He was among the initiators and organizers of the opposition in bunkers and on rooftops, which made the act of evacuation more difficult. He was arrested tens of times in the Rafiah area. After the end of the struggle over Yamit, Begin decided to close hundreds of cases that were opened against the protesters for disturbing the peace and breaking the law. But Baruch did not receive amnesty.
IDF activities:
Baruch was drafted at the age of 20 after completing his studies in the Hesder Yeshiva in Yamit, where he studied after moving there during the struggle over Yamit. He was not called up to serve in the Lebanon War due to the court case against him for his actions in Yamit, but he decided to volunteer at any cost. He hitchhiked to Lebanon and fought in the central district in a tank. He was one of the first to take over the Beirut-Damascus route. During the conquest he identified a number of Syrian commandos. He charged towards them and killed 7 of the commandos. At the same time, he was injured by a grenade thrown at him, but after receiving medical treatment for a short time, he returned to the tank and participated in the conquest of the Beirut museum.
During his stay in the "Bechamdon" village, he helped renovate the synagogue in the town, and made sure to inform Chabad of his request to repair the mikveh, which was finally renovated with the help of the personal intervention of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
During his entire military service, Baruch was concerned for religious services for the soldiers, including putting tefillin on them. In the army he fought against the problem of assimilation in Lebanon. Once he even fired at a Lebanese woman who entered the army base. Baruch was tried for this, but the problem stopped. Twice.
During his military service he refused an order whenever it clashed with matters of religion.
After completing his army service, Baruch was sent by the IDF as an emissary to the United States, within the framework of the "Israel" project promoting accurate information on the situation in Israel and recruiting immigrants and volunteers.
Imprisonment, arrests and convictions:
Baruch's activities on behalf of Eretz Israel and Torat Israel led to hundreds of arrests and tens of convictions. Baruch always stood at the head of the struggles and never shied away from them. Especially memorable were the struggles and his arrest in Sebastia and his fights against the separation agreements, missionaries and autopsies. During the struggles of Gush Emunim, he was arrested innumerable times over Shechem, Jericho and Hebron, and the entire settlement enterprise in Yesha. He was constantly under suspicion, and was arrested a number of times for being suspected of attacking Arabs and their property. After the Goldstein affair, and after being chased, he was arbitrarily put into administrative detention for half a year, and then under house arrest for 3 years!
At the age of 17 Baruch was convicted in court for the first time, and many times since then. Nine times he was forced into community service work. Baruch's file of ideological convictions is considered one of the thickest in the State. Baruch, needless to say, considers that a badge of honor.
Hebron - now and forever:
Baruch and Hebron are two concepts that have been linked to each other for two decades. He established his home there and turned Hebron into a central location and a tourist site visited by thousands ever year.
Already as a child, he visited Hebron with his parents during the time when Rabbi Moshe Levinger, the father of Jewish settlement in Hebron, had taken over the Park Hotel. He was active together with Prof. Ben Zion Tavger a"h in the excavations at the Avraham Avinu synagogue and in renovating the cemetery. Together with his teacher Rabbi Kahane, he broke into the closed military zone at Beit Hadassah 3 times and was arrested, long before it ever occurred to anyone that this was the only way people would get to live in Hebron. He assisted the "Hadassah women" holed up in the building for many months.
So it was only natural that his marriage to Sara would take place at the Cave of Machpela. Twenty years later, he came full circle and married off his two daughters at the Cave in Hebron.
On their wedding night they went to live in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood. He was one of the first to come to live in Tel Rumeida (Admot Yishai) in 1984, where he has been living with his wife and 9 children for more than 20 years in a flimsy caravan.
With the outbreak of the first intifada in 1987, the stream of Jewish visitors to the Cave of Machpela and Hebron stopped.
Baruch took upon himself the task of changing the situation. Thanks to his actions, Hebron became a household word. Baruch worked almost single-handedly and succeeded where many other good people failed, bringing in thousands of Jews every year to the City of our Fathers.
This is how Baruch made extensive connections with the Haredi sector. Tens of great rabbis and Torah giants from the entire spectrum came to Hebron thanks to his activity, and they all forged close links with Hebron and with settlements throughout Yesha.
His home in Tel Rumeida was the scene of visits by great Haredi rabbis, among them: Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ZT"L, the Halachic giant of this generation, as well as the Gaon Rabbi Ben Zion Abba Shaul ZT"L, the Rebbes of Karlin and Arloy and others.
Baruch was part of many struggles in the Cave of Machpela that strengthened the Jewish hold there. He promoted the Cave to those who were unfamiliar with it and organized all activity there. As a result of all his efforts, 8 new Torah scrolls and a lot of equipment were brought into the Cave.
Baruch established two Kollels, which contributed greatly to the Cave's revival.
Together with Israel Bermeson, he set up a system of welcoming guests to Hebron, where hundreds of people are hosted every year. Baruch's home itself has become a lively center for welcoming guests.
He is personally involved in caring for the needs of IDF soldiers and the needy population of Kiryat Arba and Hebron.
He set up a Rabbi Zilberman-style Talmud Torah, which he still directs. He renovated the burial places of Yishai and Ruth and put up a synagogue on the site. For years Baruch handled all Chabad matters in Hebron, rescusitating their heritage in the city.
He made people aware of the Chabad Ashkenazi cemetery in Hebron and the grave of Rebbetzin Menucha Rachel Slonim.
Thanks to his wisdom, the transfer of the Chabad plot of the cemetery to the Palestinians as part of Oslo 2 was avoided.
For years, Baruch handled the restorations there. For a month and a half he conducted a sit-down strike there, in protest over the lack of security. He started an on-site Kollel, which led to a permanent Jewish hold there. In order to continue handling Chabad matters in Hebron, two years ago Baruch helped Rabbi Daniel Cohen to get settled in Hebron and to take on responsibility for Chabad property there.
Baruch served as a member of the Kiryat Arba local council and of the Society for the Development of Kiryat Arba, and as a member of the administration of Jewish settlement in Hebron.
His connections with the Haredi public:
Out of faith and the recognition that the religious and ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) public must unite in order to establish a joint enterprise to protect the sanctity of Israel and the future of settlements in Yesha, and in order to prevent anti-religious parties from gaining power, Baruch understood that the way must be forged in a Haredi direction. Baruch himself leads an exemplary Haredi lifestyle.
For years he was active in public Haredi struggles. He was an active participant in the struggle against autopsies, for closing roads on Shabbat, for the "Who is a Jew" law, and actions against the Reform movement, missionaries, abortions, etc. For years, for every problem arising in the Haredi public, Baruch worked behind the scenes to solve the problem, and to help, which increased his credibility and opened doors among Torah giants and rabbis who saw him as a faithful emissary for the issues that were important to them.
Baruch's special treatment of the Haredi public led them to make frequent visits to Hebron and to assist settlement in Yesha. Thus, for example, thanks to his connections, Baruch worked hard in the Haredi sector to prevent Shimon Peres from being chosen as the President of the State of Israel, and for the rise of Moshe Katzav. In 2000, instructed by the rabbis, he greatly helped to get the Tal Law passed in the Knesset. He also worked hard to promote Haredi settlement in Yesha.
He is considered by the Yesha Establishment and the right-wing parties as an expert on the Haredi sector. Many attribute the right-wing tendencies of the Haredi public in recent years to, among other things, Baruch's activities in this sector of the public.
Charity and Hessed activities:
Baruch runs a large charity fund, together with Adir Zik and Israel Bermeson Z"L. He distributes financial aid and supplies to hundreds of families. This is in addition to his activities in welcoming guests to Hebron .
Activities on behalf of Soviet and Syrian Jews:
During the '70's he was very active on behalf of Soviet Jews and Prisoners of Zion. His work on behalf of Natan Sharansky, Yosef Mendelevitch, Yaakov Levine and others, is especially memorable. All of them are grateful to him to this day. A number of times, Baruch was arrested by the authorities for these activities. He also worked for the freedom of Syrian Jews.
He participated in active struggles against extradition of Jews to non-Jewish authorities. He began with the struggle against extraditing William Nakash. From being one of the founders of "The Committee to Free Jonathan Pollard" until today, he is still active on this issue.
"A Helping Hand to our Sisters"
For 25 years, Baruch has been the director of operations to get Jewish girls out of Arab villages. He has succeeded in rescuing about 300 Jewish women from Arabs. He considers this his personal mission that he received from his teacher and rabbi, Rabbi Meir Kahane HY"D. With every case of assimilation that comes up, he tries to drop everything to take care of the problem. Numerous institutions around the country constantly turn to Baruch for his help in solving assimilation issues and the kidnapping of girls to Arab villages.
The voice of the territory:
In 1997 Baruch, together with Haim Didovsky, set up the news agency "HaKol M'haShetach" (The voice of the territory), for the purpose of fighting against the media's tendentiousness. "HaKol M'haShetach" can give itself a great deal of credit for its achievements in being an effective mouthpiece for anything connected to Yesha and the struggle for Eretz Israel. Later the name was changed to "Kol Rina", in memory of Rina Didovsky HY"D, who was violently murdered on her way to Kiryat Arba.
Elections to the Knesset:
In the elections of 2003, MK Michael Kleiner, the chairman of the Herut movement, decided to add Baruch Marzel to his list, who would bring electoral power to the party. Baruch had many doubts about this, but after he was convinced that on the political map there was no other party that faithfully represented the issues of Eretz Israel, he decided to run as number two on the list. The Leftist parties and the chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Judge Mishael Cheshin, tried very hard to ban Baruch from running for the Knesset. After a long and exhausting struggle, the High Court of Justice finally allowed Baruch to run.
In spite of the short time until the elections, Herut succeeded in getting about 40,000 votes, but didn't reach the minimum threshold.
The Haredi parties and the National Union, fearing Herut's power gained by including Baruch, fought together against the party and invested a lot of capital in the campaign against Herut. Many complaints from all over the country came in about phony votes and about canceling votes of the party.

Thursday, I hammerd on President Bush and Condi Rice for sitting on their duffs and being wimps about not forcing Hamas out of the Palestinian "elections" due to their being soaked with the corruption of terror. The United States has been adamant about keeping Nazis out of post-Rich German elections, Imperialists out of Japanese elections, Al-Qaida and Taliban out of Afghani elections, and Ba'athists out of Iraqi elections.
But not only is it okay for Hamas terrorists to run for election in the lesser-standard Palestinian elections, but it's obvious that they want terrorists from Fateh as well to represent them...
Jailed Palestinian leader Marwan Barghouti on Saturday morning emerged as one of the most popular candidates in the Fatah primary vote ahead of the Palestinian Authority elections in January, showing a clear lead over "old guard" candidates.
Barghouti, who is serving five life terms in jail for deadly attacks against Israel, had a very strong showing in the West Bank town of Ramallah where he was running from prison, winning some 30,000 votes out of the 40,000 eligible Fatah voters.
He's not the only one.
Two fugitives from Fatah's violent offshoot, the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, also secured high positions. The Jenin winner, Jamal Abu Rob, who gave himself the nickname "Hitler," is wanted for killing several suspected informers with Israel. The Nablus candidate, Jamal Jumaa, is a leader of Al Aqsa in the West Bank's largest city.
There's more, like one of the murderers of the Israeli Monister of Tourism who was convicted of murder and "sentenced" to a "prison" in Jericho that's as meaningless as Augusto Pinochet's "house arrest." Ha'aretz and Reuters do a fine job of ignoring that blood-soaked individual by pretending to focus on just Fateh's results.
If you want someone to represent you with blood on their hands, what does that say about you? If you want a terrorist to represent you in a government, then what does that say about you?
Simple: you support terrorism. You support murder. You support the continued killing as a policy.
Bush said in 2002 that he demanded new Palestinian leadership that was uncomprimised by terror. By cleaning out the corruption and those with blood on their hands, progress could be made towards peace and a Palestinian state.
The Palestinians have answered this opprtunity by demanding the terrorist group Hamas' inclusion in the elections.
Bush needs to respond to that answer. Failure to respond will speak volumes to terrorists all over the world.
It sickens me, it does.

As a refugee and an exile from N'vei Dekalim, I object very strongly to the article by Barbara A. Olevitch, "No Promises Not to Forgive, Please", which recently appeared on Israel National News.com. Ms. Olevitch wrote against the idea of "We Won't Forgive and We Won't Forget". As a Gaza refugee, I have the right to be as angry and as unforgiving as I please to the Arabs who never wanted to live in peace with the Israelis but just wanted destruction -- of my town. Where grass grew and paths flowed and houses stood are now just ruins and sand. The trees, bushes grass and flowers that we planted and watered for over 25 years with that scarce product of Israel are probably now dead. My windows, my doors, the air conditioner that we couldn't get out of the wall and the attic, my children's crib - all gone. The tree that my husband planted on Moshav Katif to give me something green because I was blue is probably dead, too. But if we are not allowed to get on with our lives, then we cannot heal. As long as we are stuck in temporary quarters, we are stuck in time and cannot get our lives back. The Jews of modern-day Gaza were the most nonpolitical people ever. All we wanted was a good life. We saw neither danger nor desolation, but a beautiful area that could be built up in Eretz Yisrael, a place where we could raise our children and they could run free. I believe, Barbara, that you don't really know any of the original residents of Gush Katif. For Gaza residents to heal we need the government to at least give us some band-aids and medicine. It is the government who made us refugees and it is their responsibility to help us out of this status. Helping the Gaza refugees to resettle should be an urgent political priority. But what does the government do instead? It tries to separate us and break us, and make it as difficult as possible to get what is coming to us (albeit too little) so that we can move on. Found these 2 pix that were from road blockings in may.

Using just rocks we blocked BOTH sides of the road for up to 20 minutes at a time, 3 times!!
There was thousands of people by the junction... we went around and came down by the big green hill that says "tzeischem l'shalom" This was rush hour traffic... the roads were backed up for miles... only motorcycle cops could reach us. During the second attemt a few magavnik's came but we ran off and they arrested just 4 guys. The 3rd time they came with horses.

With the right amount of balls it takes just 5 guys to block the road... we had just 5 guys and 5 girls the first time around...

Sorry Ambassador Araud, but I reject your argument on this page last week that the riots that gripped Paris, and other cities around France for much of November, are "not an intifada."

Araud's contention that "This was no ‘Muslim Revolt, but rather riots by young people who suffer from discrimination" simply fails to reflect reality. It's a bit tough, really, when the facts tell a different story.

The main failure, and this must be said openly, is that everyone has been afraid to clash with the problem called "Islam." In a country where 10 percent (at least) of the population is Muslim, this is reasonable: That's a huge voting bloc, and in any event, the French, including the media, have always felt, "It won't happen here."

Go ahead, Mr. Ambassador, say it again: "This is no intifada." Of course not. At the end of the day, it's no more than a massive wave of destruction that has already taken one life and left hundreds wounded, including police and fire fighters.
In 20 days of rioting, more than 10,000 cars were destroyed, and dozens of public buildings were sacked. But Intifada? What are you talking about?
Now, the riots have died down. At least until the next time. And in the meanwhile, French officials can continue to stick their heads in the sand and ignore the true problem.

Of course, I am writing you all this unofficially and privately, because it is not my place to speak about faults of Jews, and especially those who have it within their capability to achieve wondrous things in the said areas, and for various reasons are not doing so.
It is also understood that I am not writing this in order to accuse anyone, for what would such an accusation help? I only mean to express my anguish, at least in writing, to you and to those who you estimate might benefit from knowing the content of these few lines.
If the above is true regarding Jerusalem, then the situation is even worse concerning Hebron, where mainly Arabs dwell.... The Arab community there is grounded, developed, and according to the rumors, it is also organized, all of which only confirms the attitude mentioned above. Despite this, I investigated the possibility of opening a Yeshivah. I received a clear answer — saying that “it would be better for me” to explore possibilities of a Yeshivah in Jerusalem than one in Hebron. Within the inner circles of settlers (contrary to the view of those in charge) there are many Chabadniks (some who are open about it, and others who are unknown). I am sure you are also aware of the situation of the settlers there — who are not far from being prisoners. The reason given is also similar to the one stated, being based upon “justice and honesty,” and the common denominator of all these phenomena is: What will the “greater world” say, etc., as we discussed when you were here.
And for example, if there should be some quarrel between an Israeli youth and an Arab youth in Hebron; since the Arab youths would outnumber the Jews there, it is possible that the Jewish youth would be beaten up, etc. On whose side, in your opinion, would the Israeli military police stand in that situation — especially if the Mayor (who, it would appear, had a part in the riots and pogroms of 1929 against Jews in Hebron) were to come and make a commotion about the “provocation” by the Jews.
This is also the reason I asked you when you were here about the circumstances, and the reason for the manner in which Jerusalem was captured last year, where many, of the best Israeli soldiers fell in battle, completely disproportionate to the number of deaths on all the other fronts.
Incidentally (and maybe not incidentally) you still owe me an answer on this (and when you were here, we agreed that you would investigate and give me an answer). The information I have received on this — as I said, from a source who has been reliable until now — and as I said in our conversation, there was an uncontested order from above regarding this.[106] I wish I would be proven wrong. However, in our conversation, there was much room left for doubt.
I would like to add, that my asking about this did not (G-d forbid) stem from pointless curiosity about a painful subject. Rather, it was to demonstrate the thought process of those who issued that order, because many of them are still in charge. Unfortunately, and perhaps to our embarassment, they have not changed their outlook, since even then it was forseeable that this would cause more fatalities. From this we can understand the present situation in Jerusalem and Hebron.

The confilct would be to the extent that the government would issue laws against those who would go to settle. This would reveal to the world — not just the Jewish world, but even to the gentiles — that those who make the decisions are bent on making it difficult for the settlers, and even worse than “difficult” — they would humiliate them and strengthen the morale of the enemies of Israel.
I do not despair concerning all this. But it is not a shift in Jewish public opinon which will affect change, but rather the mistakes of the Arabs and their supporters. So it was in the past, when such mistakes last year forced the “pursuers of peace” to finally agree to provide security, naturally leading to a pre-emptive war. I hope that in the future it will be easier, and will not G-d forbid injuriously affect lives or even property of our brothers, no matter where they live.
It is amazing to what extent the label which was given to the Children of Israel in our Torah, “a stiff-necked nation,” has not only endured until this day — but has been used by some for the opposite of the Torah and vital interests of the Jewish people. An example from the most recent weeks: the Algerian hijacking of the El-Al plane, when everyone clearly saw the reaction of even those who are supposed to be among the “friends of Israel.” Yet despite all this, they congratulate the nations for finding a solution which was supposed to be an “ethical victory.” Even if you could find reason to say that they were forced to agree to the extortion (to save lives), yet what obligates them to crown the architect of this deal as a Man of Ethics and totally righteous, and an example for the Masses? It would seem that there is no way to fathom a stiff-necked nation. This stubbornness expressed itself so strongly in the form of believing in the kindness of the nations (despite the message from our Prophets and Seers that the kindness of the nations is veiled sin), that even the invasion of Czechoslovakia[107] did not weaken this spurious belief. Even though it would seem that the episode in Czechoslovakia has nothing to do with the subject of this letter — the inner significance is relevant, because it demonstrates the sentiment of some of those who decide the policy-making-process in the Holy Land, a process which expresses itself in deeds, grievous and painful acts which also cause much worry for the future (the near future at least — until they do away with their attitude about these matters).
We should end off on a positive note: I thank you for the warm greetings which you brought me from your visit to Kfar Chabad. According to the reports and information I have received from there, you spoke from your heart and with warmth, and strengthened and encouraged them. Everyone is in need of this, including them. Especially now, during these eventful times in the “Land upon which G-d’s gaze is affixed from the beginning of the year until the end of the year,” as it states in our Torah. When, on the other hand, the enemies who surround the land, see the government in our Land exhibit more and more weakness — a government who believes that they must deal with the Arabs with silk gloves and great care — and should there be a quarrel between an Arab and an Israeli, the first thing to do is to check what the reaction will be in the capital of one country or another, and only then decide what to do. So the Arabs constantly allow themselves the luxury of creating more and more disruptions, and all the more so, disturbances, and eventually terror.
And as we approach the New Year, as the well-known saying goes, may it be G-d’s Will that this year end, together with all the undesirable things which occurred in it (they should totally and absolutely disappear) and next year, and in the final days of this year, may the blessings begin, including the crucial change in the government’s posture, without having to wait for unwished-for incidents which would force the change. Some people thought I sounded frustrated with my latest rant because I got all pissy with a certain four letter word.
They think I should be more reasonable; add more gravitas to my arguments; be nicer to people around me.
Well, if being offensive works for Oriana Fallaci, then I don’t see why it shouldn’t work for me. It’s not as if I’m being more foul-mouthed than she is, and I happen to think that she is absolutely correct. This insanity has gone on for far too long. By being nice, we’ve seriously jeopardized our survival.
Some think that we need more interfaith dialogue. That’s like telling a cop and a murderer that they should discuss points of law and outlooks of morality to try to live together in peace: a futile and stupid gesture which would never really amount to anything good. How can we have interfaith dialogues when the other side refuses to even recognize that we have every right to live?
It’s beyond me. It’s absolutely stunning when I look at the level of stupidity which will do us in on a daily basis. Morons on the left who tell us that they really just want peace, and their actions don’t represent the majority, when the majority happens to be dancing in the streets like Mardi Gras every time one of their pus-filled brainiacs decide to show us the majesty and munificence of Islam by self-detonating in a crowd of bystanders. It isn’t that he’s not doing what Mohammed told him to do in the Koran; simply that he’s misunderstood by those understanding “geniuses” marching in the streets who think that all he really wants is peace.
As brilliant a holy man as Gandhi ever was, I think that not even he could have worked that one out.
It’s pretty obvious how insane they are when, after several boastful announcements from their own ilk as to whom it was who perpetrated the Amman bombings, even after one of the would-be killers openly talked about the plan, that they still blame…the Jews.

Kahane was born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1932. He came from a family that adhered to Orthodox Judaism. His father, Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Kahane, was born in Safed, Palestine in 1905 and studied in yeshivot in Poland and Czechoslovakia. Later he emigrated to America, where he served as rabbi of two congregations. Meir Kahane received rabbinical ordination from the Mir yeshiva in Brooklyn. He was fully conversant with the Talmud and Tanakh, and worked as a pulpit rabbi and teacher in the 1960s. Subsequently, he earned a degree in international law from New York University.

As a teenager he became an admirer of Zeev Jabotinsky, who was a frequent guest in his parents' home, and joined the youth wing of Revisionist Zionism called Betar. He personally led protests against Ernest Bevin the British Foreign Secretary who opposed the foundation of Israel on the grounds that Britain should side with the Arab Muslims aspirations for an independent state. Kahane also organized and launched public demonstrations in the US against the Soviet Union's policy of persecuting Zionist activists and curbing Jewish emigration to Israel. He was a central activist in the "Free Soviet (Russian) Jewry" movement and is widely credited with the release of the Russian refuseniks to Israel.

In 1971 he emigrated from the United States to Israel (known as "making aliyah" in Judaism). He quickly moved to establish the Kach Party. In 1980 Kahane stood unsuccessfully for election to the Knesset, after which he was sentenced to six months in prison for plotting to attack the Al Aqsa mosque. Upon his release, in 1984 Kahane stood again for election to the Knesset, and was finally successful. The Central Elections Committee banned him from being a candidate on charges of racism, but the Israeli High Court found that the Committee did not have the legal power to do so.
It is notable that at his trial Kahane refused to accept the standard oath of office for the Knesset, insisting on adding Biblical quotations to it. In a later session, the Knesset Chairman demanded that Kahane repeat his oath, which he did.
Kahane's legislation proposals centered on revoking Israeli citizenship from non-Jews, and banning Jewish-Gentile marriages or sexual relations. To his detractors, Kahane defended his positions by unapologetically citing Jewish religious doctrine regarding the Jewish marriage.
As his political career lengthened Kahane was more and more shunned in the Knesset. His speeches were boycotted by Knesset members and were made to an empty parliament, except for the duty chairman. Kahane's legislation proposals (and motions of no-confidence in the Government) were all rejected by vote, until the Knesset modified its charter to outlaw legislation proposals, not requiring rejection by vote. Kahane himself called the other Knesset members "Hellenists" (in Hebrew; this is a historical term glommed from Jewish religious texts for ancient Jews who assimilated into Greek culture after Judea's occupation by Alexander the Great. Jewish religious books assert that "Hellenists" were responsible for weakening the Jewish relationship to God.) In 1987 Rabbi Kahane opened his Yeshiva of the Jewish Idea (Yeshivat Haraayon Hayehudi) in the Shmuel Hanavi neighborhood of Jerusalem where he would regularly give lessons. Rabbi Avraham Toledano was the Mashgiach Ruchani, and other Rabbis included Yehuda Kroizer, the Chief Rabbi of Mitzpe Yericho, and Rabbi David Bar Hayim.
In 1985 the Knesset passed an amendment to Israel's Basic Law: The Knesset banned "racist" candidates from standing for election. The Committee applied it to Kahane, who appealed against the decision to the Israeli High Court. This time the Court found in favour of the Committee, declaring Kahane to be unsuitable for election. Kahane asserted that the reason for the Kach party ban was that polls showed it about to become the third largest party in Israel.

Was Kahane right?
Interestingly, in an October 2004 survey commissioned by Israel's Channel 2 TV, it revealed that 58% of adults aged 18-22 support "transfer" (the expulsion of Arabs from Israel), 26.4% believe the slain Kach Party founder, Rabbi Meir Kahane, was correct in his call to expel the Arabs, while one-third believe the Kach Party should be declared a legal organization once again. According to a concurrent Maariv report, a survey questioning 500 Israelis (representing a cross-section of society) revealed that 13.1% favor a national leader like Rabbi Meir Kahane (pro-Jewish, strong, and consistent).

It has been fifteen years since an Arab assassin's bullet stilled the voice of Rabbi Meir Kahane, the truest and most noble Jewish leader of our generation. Although conventional wisdom teaches that "time heals all wounds," the pain and anguish of so great a loss continues. Indeed, it is compounded, as his prophetic warnings concerning the rise of an Arab nationalism that threatens Israel's very survival have become stark reality. Although it may come as a surprise to many Jews who even today opine that he should have 'toned down his rhetoric' and 'not said everything openly', in order to receive more votes for his Kach political party, Rabbi Kahane did not consider himself a politician. Rather, in his own words, "I am first and foremost a rabbi, who is in politics."Unlike the majority of Israel's politicos, his sole purpose in running for the Knesset was not self-gratification, but rather to have a broad public platform where he could focus upon and spotlight the critical issues that affect Israel and the Jewish people worldwide. Rabbi Kahane was never willing to handel (make deals), as is the modus operand of many of our Israeli so-called leaders - from the prime (or crime) minister of Disengagement to the myriad of power-hungry MKs who are willing to sell out principles and concede everything except their Knesset seats. A lack of understanding of his motivation and sense of urgency often manifested itself in the accusation by experts among Jewish "advice givers" that, in the countless lectures he delivered in communities throughout the United States and elsewhere over more than three decades, Rabbi Kahane often came across as aggressive and defiant. "Why," they asked "is he so angry?" Indeed, what could have made Rabbi Meir Kahane, of blessed memory, an angry man? Was it that the Jewish State, which, with G-d's help, came into existence after the unspeakable Holocaust as a homeland for the Jewish people, grants equal (and often superior) rights to Arabs who, by and large, declare they want to replace Israel with a "Palestinian state"? Was it that the sovereign Jewish State, which miraculously won five Arab-initiated wars, resulting in the death of thousands of Jewish soldiers, willingly continues to give up the sacred land for which our martyred sons lay down their lives? The "peace process", he so clearly foresaw, is a 'piece by peace' dismantling of Israel. In what was undoubtedly the coupe de gras in the myriad of outrageous actions taken to silence him by successive Israeli governments, was Rabbi Kahane angry at being banned by the 'democratic' State of Israel - while Arab Knesset members who openly align with Israel's enemies are permitted to run for election? He was imprisoned countless times and often suffered beatings for espousing the truth. Had he lived, might Rabbi Kahane have been angry today that funds that should have been designated for the growing numbers of victims of Arab terrorist attacks, as well as to lessen the plight of Israel's poor and deprived citizens, was reportedly (and continues to be) transferred by the government of Israel to the coffers of the Palestinian Authority? At this critical juncture in Jewish history, when the unthinkable expulsion of Jews from their homes in Gaza has been perpetrated by a Jewish (sic) government, and the plight of several thousand refugees they created seemingly doesn't anger members of Knesset nearly as much as the thought that they may lose power in the next election, the sage words of an anonymous philosopher seem altogether fitting: "The measure of a man... is what angers him." For, unlike the late Rabbi Meir Kahane, whose legacy lives on to inspire Jews in the present and future generations, the Israeli government simply doesn't measure up. Baruch Marzel Announces He’ll Run as Head of a New Party

Baruch Marzel, a prominent right-wing activist from Hevron, announced Tuesday at a press conference that he would be forming his own party to run in Israel’s upcoming general election.
Marzel’s party will be called the Jewish National Front.Marzel said, “People are looking for a new party. Many people won’t go out and vote if the alternatives are Orlev or Litzman. We will become the only alternative for people who have all but given up on the political system, and for people who are unhappy about supporting parties that served as a bridge for Sharon to expel residents from Gush Katif.”

Among those joining Marzel’s new party is Professor Israel Hanukoglo, a former science advisor to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (1996-99), and Professor Paul Eidelberg, the president of Yamin Yisrael, a small right wing movement.MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union), who was offered the number six slot on a unified list with the National Religious Party, reportedly is considering running on Marzel’s new list.

Most people do not know much about marzel so here is some info:

Baruch Marzel was born in the United States, is married with 9 children and currently lives in Hebron. Mr Marzel graduated the "Itaray" Yeshiva of Harav Merkaz.. He served in a tank regiment in the IDF and was injured during the Lebanon war.
He began his political activity as a member of the "KACH" (Kahane) movement, and was the speaker and secretary of the party. He founded the "Admot Yshay" neighborhood in Hebron. Mr. Marzel currently serves as the chairman of "Ha'Va'd Le'ma'an Hachayal" in Hebron, and works tirelessly on a daily basis in the public arena, fighting for the good of the Israeli Nation and the Land of Israel.

As for Baruch Marzel, I really don't know what his true feelings are. I know this much. I know that Ahmed Tibi isn't scared of Arik Sharon or anyone in the Likud. I know that he isn't scared of the National Union with Benny Alon, Avigdor Lieberman, and Tzvi Hendel. I know that he's scared like hell of Baruch Marzel

Two Years in Prison for Planning Risky Highway Roadblock

A 21-year-old was sentenced to two years in prison for planning to block a highway with burning cars. Explaining the light sentence, the judge says he took several mitigating factors into account.

Plan: National Service in outposts
Right-wing leader Arieh Yitzhaky, who led the former Kfar Yam settlers’ battle against evacuation last summer, has been working on a new initiative that would allow youths opposed to the pullout to perform National Service duty in secluded West Bank outposts and settlements as an alternative to enrolling in the IDF, under the supervision of Land of Israel Faithful rabbis.

Brilliant idea! Let them defend the outposts and settlements, The left cant complain then.
A few years ago a orginization called the jewish legion was started. Its goal was to use only civillian guards to protect the yishuvim. But it didnt end up working out.

The Shabbat of Comfort. The shabbat after the expolusion of gush katif. The word Nachamu is taken from the first words of the Haftorah: "Nachamu Nachamu Ami Yomar Alokeichem", be comforted, be comforted My people, says your G-d (Isaiah 40:1).

Of all of the great and holy prophets of Judea and Samaria none match the prose and imagery of the Prophet Isaiah when describing the Great Redemption and G-d's Merciful Return to Zion.
The Prophet continues: "Speak unto the heart of Jerusalem and call out to her; since her sentence is complete, her transgression is pardoned, she received from the hand of G-d two-fold her sins (Isaiah 40:2)." Within this verse there are a few different thoughts:
" First is the human quality given to the City of Jerusalem, speak to the "heart" of Jerusalem. The Prophet speaks about the city broken by the Destruction of the Temple as if she is human and she requires us to comfort her.
" The next idea is the fact that the Ultimate Redemption of Israel can arrive in one of two methods. First the punishment is completed as intimated by the words "Malah Tzvah" her military service is satisfied. Her period in exile was sufficient to clean the slate. Second is the expiation of sin from the words "Nirzah Avonah" she atoned for her sin.
" Finally, how could Isaiah imply that Israel has punished double for her iniquity. Is G-d not just, why did He penalize Israel for double her sins? The answer is, G-d is just (All his ways are Justice - Deuteronomy 32:4), however since we do not understand G-d's immeasurable sense of justice, to us mere mortals it feels like double.

There are many "Voices of Consolation" within this portion of prophecy. One of the most prominent is the voice that instructs the Jews to remind each other that G-d will return them to Zion: "Ascend a high mountain you who are the Herald of Zion; lift up your voice with strength you who are the Herald of Jerusalem. Cry out, do not be afraid, say to the cities of Judah, behold it is your G-d. Behold, the Lord your G-d approaches with strength, and with His arm He rules. Behold His reward is with Him, and His deeds are before His Presence. Like the shepherd of his flock, he guides. With His hand He gathers His lambs, and in His bosom He carries them, gently leading the young (Isaiah 40:9-11)." The voice entreats the People of Israel to recognize that the Deliverance of Israel is imminent. The voice beseeches us to unabashedly declare our attachment to Zion and Jerusalem. We must remind the cities of Judah that G-d is on His way to reward those who have been steadfast in their belief of G-d's Torah.

One of the voices of consolation does not appear be encouraging at all: "A voice calls out, 'Proclaim'. And I reply, 'What shall I proclaim'? All flesh is grass and all kindness is like the flower of the fields. The grass dries the flower withers because the Wind of G-d blows through it, therefore the People are grass. The grass dries the flower withers, but the word of G-d will stand forever (Isaiah 40:6-8)." To paraphrase, the Prophet is depressed. He hears all the voices of revival and restoration but around him perceives only destruction and desolation. The People of Israel continue to worship other G-ds and ignore Isaiah's words. He answers the voices; these people are grass (they gave away Gaza, they want the EU to recognize them, they continue to insist that there will be a real peace with the PLO) why should I bother trying to provide them with inspiration and encouragement?

G-d responds, "You are right the people are transient and fleeting". Even if they strive to contribute to the betterment of the world the nature of humans is corporeal. However, G-d runs the world, even if events seem bleak the incorporeal controls the planet."
This is a lucid view of the world to today. How does the Israeli Government continue on its path of disinterest in "Jewish Goals" and "Jewish Ideals"? It is easy to give up hope of ever making Aliyah (a Jew returning to the Holy Land) if Israel continues to throw Jews out of their own land in outlandish Expulsion Plans. Nevertheless, G-d emphasizes his viewpoint of the situation regardless of any Knesset decision. How else does Arafat turn down Jerusalem when Barak offered it to him on a silver platter?

It is very significant that in the first weekend after the Destruction of the Holy Temple, the initial method in the consolation that G-d offers Israel is to assure them that He will stand by them. Only in the later prophecies does the Lord discuss in great detail the glorious Return from Exile of the Jewish Nation. The reason for this is that if G-d did not stand by us we would never have made it out of the Exile. The greatest "Nechama" (consolation) is that G-d is pulling the strings and He will do what is best for His People Israel.

Finally, France and other nations can show Israel how it is done. That is, controlling anarchy that could paralyze a given country.

Striking parallels can be drawn between Israel’s travails with Muslim extremists and conflicts with Muslims in other nations; not only France, but also India, Thailand, Russia, Britain and the Kurdish section of Iraq. Until Paris blew up, Israel drew most of the world’s attention whenever it clashed with the Palestinians.

As veteran Middle East reporter Thomas Friedman says, the Palestinians receive so much attention not because they are poor and displaced, but because their plight takes place in Israel and its territories.

“The oldest, most widely known super story of Western civilization is the Bible,” Friedman writes in his book From Beirut to Jerusalem, “Modern Israel is not viewed by most Christians as a new country or a new story, but rather as the modern extension of a very old country and a very old drama involving God and man.”

As a civilized, beloved city which has been at peace for 60 years, Paris has pushed Jerusalem off the front page and exposed for all to see that Muslim extremism is little different anywhere else. The vandalism and assaults in Paris are on a par with the rush to violence in Israel. Wherever one turns, it seems that young Muslims are burning cars and even forcing innocent people off buses.

Even the pretext for each crisis is comparable. In Israel, Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount in September 2000 and suddenly there were riots. This justified bedlam? In Paris, Muslim extremists went wild after two teen-age Muslims were electrocuted while hiding from police. Their friends did not bother to wait for an investigation to end before they pounced.

The police response reportedly led to the discharge of tear gas into a mosque during a worship service. Friends of Redha Zagai, 21, of Toulouse, told the New York Times that he lost his right hand Monday night, November 7, to an explosive device fired by police. A state of emergency declared by France permits the government to impose curfews, place people under house arrest, seize weapons, ban traffic, close public spaces where gangs congregate and jail curfew violators for up to two months, the New York Post reported. Sound familiar?

It is bitter irony that the French and others are behaving just as Israel has behaved in the face of terrorism for nearly 60 years. This is not to absolve Israel or these other countries of transgressions, but they are handling their conflicts just as Israel did. All these years, critics berated Israel’s tactics, right or wrong, and now their countries are doing no differently.

After bombings in New Delhi took 59 lives, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hinted at terrorist connections in Muslim neighbor Pakistan when he reminded Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf of “Pakistan’s commitment to ending cross-border terrorism, and said that he continued to be disturbed at indications of external linkages” to the bombings, Sanjaya Baru, a spokesman for Singh, told the Associated Press.

Translated, Musharraf probably has as much control over Pakistan’s extremists as Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has over Palestinian extremists.

In addition, India and Pakistan have been haggling about opening checkpoints in Kashmir to help earthquake victims, most of whom are Pakistanis. Delays in opening these roads are rooted in security concerns.

Thailand has been battling an insurgency in the south where 80 percent of the population is Muslim. Thailand has sent 30,000 troops and police officers there, angering many residents, according to Reuters. Russian President Vladimir Putin told critics of his response to terrorism to mind their own business; Kurds in northern Iraq ejected Sunni Arabs from land seized by American troops; and British security killed an innocent man suspected of terrorism after London’s subways were bombed.

Interestingly, Britain is home to many members of the International Solidarity Movement who flew to Israel to shield Palestinian homes from Israeli bulldozers. Suha Arafat, widow of Yasser Arafat, even lives in Paris with some of the billions of dollars that Arafat diverted from programs for his people to himself.

Perhaps the ISM members from England will rush across the channel to shield rioters from French police, and Suha Arafat will share her living quarters with these hoodlums.

Time to Put Up or Shut Up

Hamas should be allowed to run in the upcoming Palestinian Arab elections.

True, Hamas rejects Israel's very right to exist, no matter what its size, so this goes against even what the phony Oslo peace process calls for. And while Hamas' own patron saint, Sheikh Izzedin Al-Qassam (for whom the brigade which blows up buses and restaurants is named for, along with the rockets aimed at Jews), was a native of Latakia, Syria (along with most others who flocked into the Mandate in the late 19th and early 20th centuries from other "Arab" lands, according to the Records of the League of Nations Permanent Mandates Commissions and other solid documentation), Hamas rejects the rights of Jews to any part of Dar ul-Islam. Also, keep in mind that half of Israel's Jews were refugees from so-called "Arab" or Muslim lands.

Nevertheless, as long as Israel follows through with what needs to be done, Hamas' candidates should be on the slate.

What sense is there to keep playing the same old game?

The Arafatians now in power have made clear over and over that they differ with Hamas only in tactics. As I've often stated before, blown buses bring bad press. The end goal, Israel's destruction, is the same for both, as a quick view of the Palestinian Authority's own statements, websites, textbooks, media, maps and such illustrates. Mahmoud Abbas' own military folks have repeatedly stated that Israel will be the sole target of their arms. Recall that Condoleezza Rice was in Israel not long ago demanding that the Jews themselves supply the Palestinian Authority with those arms.

Poll after poll taken among Palestinian Arabs show that even if Israel returned to its 1949, nine-mile wide, armistice line-imposed, rump state status, most Arabs would still support terrorism and reject Israel's right to exist.

So, folks, there is no nice way of putting this. Israel faces deadly, rejectionist enemies, and must deal forcefully with this unfortunate reality sooner rather than later.

Give them credit. Unlike the let's-destroy-Israel-but-by-other-more-acceptable-means Arafatians, at least Hamas is up front and honest on these issues. So, there's no doubt as to how Hamas must be handled. No Israeli concessions short of national suicide will suffice for it.

And that's why Hamas needs to be a choice for Arab voters the next time around. The Arab Street needs to make a collective decision, so Hamas itself cannot alone be blamed for the policies that will then be carried out in its name.

If Hamas wins, the Arab voters will have told the entire world that they reject the alleged "two-state" solution that others - including the American State Department and such - falsely claim that they accept. The reality, of course, is that even the alleged PA "moderates", such as Abbas and Ahmed Qorei, openly reject the right of a Jewish Israel to exist, speak only in terms of a hudna (ceasefire, not permanent peace), and have called all such dealings with the Jews merely a Trojan Horse designed to bring about the Arabs' ultimate goal. And for this, the Jews are expected to give away the store.

When the predictable next atrocity against Jewish innocents is then carried out (notice how Kofi Anan & Co. cry out profusely about innocent Arabs killed at a wedding in Jordan, but typically make excuses when Jews are the targets, killed at Passover Seder, weddings and the like), terror will have a democratically-decided address. Nations have gone to war for far less than seeing their own people repeatedly butchered.

So, Israel must make very clear -- and not just by blowing hot air -- that it will consider any terror subsequent to the Palestinian elections an act of war. After the elections, if the new Arab government shows -- unlike the current one, which still allows terror to continue -- that it is truly willing to fight the sources of terror and enemies of permanent peaceful coexistence with a Jewish State (again, no hudna misdirection, please), then Israel should allow for a grace period and offer assistance.

If, however, as will most likely be the case, the new, democratically-elected government opts to just play more good cop/bad cop games with Israel, the Jews need to finally wise up and do what must be done:

Unleash pure hell on the murderers of Jewish innocents.

Israel must first issue an ultimatum to the new Arab government. When that ultimatum is predictably next ignored, it must declare war, fight to win, and tell the hypocrites in the United Nations and elsewhere to ask themselves what they would be doing if they were in Israel's shoes.

And the Arabs will have brought this all upon themselves by democratically electing a government which openly calls for the destruction of both Jews as a nation and as a people.

One more time. What other nation would have put up with this reality as long as Israel already has?

President George Bush has repeatedly stated that those who support terror will be treated as the terrorists themselves. America has followed through with this wise policy in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. Collateral damage in superpower America's own wars has been far more than that caused by tiny Israel's struggle to survive. America needs to remember this when Israel follows through with what it too must do.

And if America does this, the hell with what the rest of the world thinks.

I dont in no way agree with some of what he says but he makes alot of valid points!And in other words, summs up the political problem this country faces, with ALL the politicians corupt and morally bankrupted.

1. Because a white slip is seen as a clear protest. It is counted and documented, even if it is officially disqualified. On the other hand, low voter turnout will be interpreted in any number of ways, such as apathy or laziness.
2. Because our politicians, from every political camp, are corrupt to the core.
3. Because our politicians lost their shame, a long time ago.
4. Because the politicians have sewn up tenders just waiting for their political supporters.
5. Because our public officials have turned the Knesset into a city of refuge for criminals by refusing to give up parliamentary immunity. This privilege was originally intended to allow politicians to function as lawmakers without fear, not as criminals without fear.

6. Because it seems that our public officials spend more time at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings of central committee members than in the Knesset.
7. Both Likud and Labor continue to slink after the ultra-Orthodox parties.
8. Because all the secular parties go on an on about their differing policy objectives, but in practice, Labor talks about pulling out of territory and the Likud carries that policy out.
9. Because economically, there are no significant differences between Labor and Likud, and governments including both parties have consistently held back the economy. And don't make too much of Amir Peretz's elevation to Labor leader last week – it's easy to conduct an election economy in order to "make things better for everyone" during an election campaign, but we will all pay the price after the elections.
10. Because they waste public money on election propaganda instead of letting us simply read their platforms. For a party to explain why to support it should take five minutes. For it to explain why not to vote for anyone else should take another five. Everything else is gimmick and crap, and an insult to our intelligence.

11. Because even if we read their party platforms, we know full well they will not be implemented. They won't even pretend to implement them. So why bother?
12. Because a lot of white slips will prevent small militant parties from passing the electoral threshold to gain election. And if the large parties fail to deliver the goods, what can we expect from the small?
13. Because the right-wing "answer" to the conflict is settlements, whereas in reality they never took the necessary steps to make that vision a success, such as massive migration of Israeli citizens, transfer of Arabs or annexation. In the current situation, the settlements are, and will remain, a failed project, the end of which is only a matter of time. Despite all this, the rhetoric continues.
14. Because it seems that the left still fails to realize just who we are dealing with on the Palestinian side. Given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, they created the Oslo Accords, which for all the good intentions, only pushed off the most difficult issues at hand – Jerusalem, final borders, and (most difficult of all) refugees. These issues were left till the end of the process; that is to say, after Israel had paid the price for peace, given away land, and played all its cards.
15. Because despite the image portrayed by the Israeli left, the number of Palestinians willing to give up the right of return wouldn't fill up one minibus.

16. Because the Palestinians consider all the places from which refugees fled in 1948 as occupied territory, to which those residents must eventually return. That is to say, there will be no real end to this conflict, and no politician from any political camp will be able to solve this problem once in power. Despite this, they continue to feed us a load of crap with propaganda about their "answers": settlements, return to the 1967 borders, etc. At the end of the day, the diplomatic differences between the parties are differences in fantasies and hallucinations.
17. Because in election after election, we are forced to choose between garbage and rubbish.
18. Because whichever party that wins will be beholden just as much to the United States.
19. Because whichever party wins will have to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat.
20. Because whichever party that wins will have to deal with on-going terrorism.

21. Because no party really has any intention of dealing with violence in society.
22. Because no party really has any intention of dealing with traffic problems such as accidents and traffic jams, despite heavy taxes motorists pay for cars and gas.
23. Because in a modern world that changes so quickly, we must invest most of our resources in modern education for young people and professional training for adults. No party has carried this banner as of yet.
24. Because sectoral parties worry only about maximizing the amount their voters get from the country, instead of maximizing the amount they give to the country.
25. Try to think about what you wanted to happen following previous election campaigns, and compare this to what you actually got in return from the people you voted for. Think about all the times you voted. It's not a once-off failure, is it?

26. Because even matters of life-and-death, such as the West Bank security fence to prevent suicide bombers from reaching Israeli cities, are held up by political considerations.
27. Because a white slip will stress-out the politicians.
28. Because for years, governments of all stripes have caved in to political pressure and increased funding to various sectors that encourage indolence and a black economy.
29. Because when sharp budgetary cuts were made, they were not accompanied by job creation, so poverty both spread and deepened. The cuts made no differentiation between healthy people that are able to work and the elderly and the handicapped that cannot. And the finance minister who implemented these reforms conveniently stepped down the day before the appalling National Poverty Report was released. He resigned for "political reasons," of course…
30. Because in recent years, the government has moved in the direction of privatization. In other words: towards evading responsibility to the citizens of this country. They continue to collect high taxes however, to finance their political objectives. These projects remain quiet, until they appear in the state comptroller's annual report. But even then, no one takes them seriously.

31. Because the level of human raw material we have in politics is going steadily downward. Apart from being corrupt, many of them are illiterate and lack interpersonal skills.
32. Because no party has seen fit to direct national resources or Jewish population to the Galilee or the Negev. They are happy for everyone to sit in traffic in and around Tel Aviv. At the same time, they want us to vote for them because of their "solutions" to the Palestinian problem.
33. Because no one presents us with national objectives with timetables for carrying them out.
34. Because the lust for power and greed of our public officials allows rich people to control national resources and the political system.
35. Because they refuse to reign in the banks and allow them to charge high fees to simple people but low fees to the rich. They also take 10 times more interest for bank overdraft than they pay for savings accounts. But it is the national interest for people to save as much as they can. How much must we pay a body whose job it is, after all, to protect our money, but in the meanwhile uses it freely but leaves us only the crumbs?

36. Because we have reached a situation in which only suckers do IDF reserve duty.
37. Because political appointments to public positions have long been a central pillar of corruption. Supporters of this practice will claim such appointments are appropriate to "faithful servants", and this is pointedlycorrect: they are the only way to rely that workers won't go public with the corruption in their offices.
38. Because Knesset members don't report back on the things they accomplished in their four-year terms of office. Why? Either because they did nothing, or because they don't want us to know what they did.
39. Because most of our public officials don't really work for our benefit on a day-to-day basis. And when they do work, it is not on a governmental level, but rather on a level of personal contacts and "protexia". They have no interest in working for people who very well might not vote for them.
40. We identify with the officials we elected either sectorally (so they will act for the good of our particular sector, at the expense of another sector of our society), or because of some hazy agreement on their ideas of how to solve the Palestinian problem. Is it any wonder we are essentially alone, facing this huge apparatus that cares little for us?

2. NU stayed in the coalition only untill they were fired june 4th.

Zevulun Orlev of the NRP = Scum of the earth

Social Affairs Minister Zevulun Orlev (NRP) said Tuesday night that his party
will quit the government within fourteen days if Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
does not agree to hold a national referendum on unilateral disengagement.
"We demand a national referendum and promise to remain in the coalition even
if the outcome of the referendum is not to out liking. If within 14 days there
is no agreement on referendum, the National Religious Party will quit the
government," Orlev said. The Yesha Council of Settlements also signed the NRP's
pledge.

Thats funny because NRP did not quit till june! and orlev himself stayed...Former minister

Zevulun Orlev, of the National Religious Party, who quit the government
over the pullback plan, argued the settlers are not yet ready to move, farmers
are bound by contracts to supply produce that will not be ready next month.
"Come on, be humane. The August date is not holy," he appealed.
"A deluge
of 100 mortar bombs and Qassam (rockets fired in recent days into Israel and the
settlements) testify to a real fear ...that Hamas would control Gaza and the
(moderate) Palestinian Authority would lose all control," he
said.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas "does not want, or cannot beat
Hamas in Gaza.... Hamas control over Gaza would create an uncontrollable
terrorist state, " Orlev continued.
He advocated "postponing the
disengagement, rooting out terror in the Gaza Strip.... a wide scale military
operation such as Defensive Shield." In Operation Defensive Shield in 2002 the
Israeli army reoccupied all Palestinian cities except Jericho.
"I am not
proposing to cancel the disengagement. I wish I could dream there would be a
majority for it," Orlev added.

That is that orlev only quit in late july.

As the disengagement looms, they are looking for people to blame. Of course
Sharon is an obvious candidate, but he could not do it himself. Who were his
partners in the plan to destroy Gush Katif? Who is responsible if the police and
the Army destroy shuls and yeshivas, move thousands out, move graves, and
possibly destroy all the buildings?
To answer this we quote Uri Elitzur, a
leader of the settlement movement and director of the Prime Minister's office
under Netanyahu, who points to the guilty:

"What is the height of chutzpah? To criticize the chareidim for supporting
the disengagement when your name is Zevulun Orlev. It is the absolute height of
chutzpah and cynicism. It was none other than you — Orlev — who made it possible
for Sharon to go this far. You refused to leave the government when the Likud
Rebels numbered 20 MKs, and at a time when MK Gamliel thought — and rightly so —
that it was good for her career to oppose disengagement and to attack Sharon.

"You gave Sharon months of quiet and breathing room, when there were still
many in the Labor Party who opposed joining the government, and when Sylvan
Shalom and Livnat had not yet sold out. You refused to cause a government crisis
at a time when such a crisis had a good chance of initiating a dynamic that
could have toppled Sharon. You, and three other Mafdal MKs, volunteered your own
bodies to plug the dam. . .

"You who represent religious Zionism, whose movement founded the
settlements of Gush Katif, you enabled Sharon to get more and more public
support . . . you gave him the time to get more and more international support
for this plan — that a year ago was not even acceptable to Washington. You were
the scaffolding upon which Sharon built this monstrous building. And now you
criticize the chareidim, who were never Zionist, and who never pretended to
represent the settlers? What do you want from them?"

By the time the
NRP left the government, the Disengagement was already a fact — a plan approved
by the Israeli government. By the time Sharon came calling on the chareidim to
invite them to join his government, he did not need us to approve his plan. He
found an eager ally in Labor, and had an alternative to chareidi votes in
Shinui, with whom the NRP had no problem despite their open desire to destroy
all religious life in Eretz Yisroel.

Orlev Tells Bnei Akiva Youths We Are Fighting for Our Reputation

National Religious Party leader MK Zevulun Orlev visited with Bnei Akiva
campers on Monday, discussing disengagement and other political events. Orlev
explained the “struggle of the National Religious camp includes the image of the
State of Israel as a democratic Jewish state.”

When asked if camp should be canceled to permit attending Tuesday’s
planned major anti-disengagement event in Sderot, Orlev stated the camp staff
must see themselves as serving in IDF reserve duty, making them responsible for
imparting the Torah & Work ethic lauded by Bnei Akiva, explaining there is
no alternative to values the campers will learn during the continued summer
program.

With its vote defeating a bill that would have postponed the implementation of
the Disengagement Plan to uproot Jewish towns from Gaza and Samaria, Knesset
Member Zevulun Orlev, among the originators of the bill, warned that the Knesset
has paved the way for a disaster. "Ministers and Knesset members of the Likud
abandoned a sinking ship instead of throwing us a life preserver," MK Orlev
said. "The MKs who voted against the law 'disengaged' from their conscience and
paved the way for a national disaster."

You dirty scumbag!! You were a member of the keneset and sharon's coalition and in his cabinet as well!!!

A funny thing happened in court the other week.
/>It was Wednesday 28 September, and I was up for the second hearing ofmy trial. the time, I had been held under arrest for more thanthree months (since June 22nd 2005 to be precise). justice wasproceeding at its usual sedate, calm pace, undisturbed by such conceptsas presumption of innocence, factual evidence, or the right to a speedytrial.

The hearing itself was comparatively brief--aboutan hour or so, in which two police officers in charge of theinterrogation testified that:

yes, they had interrogated me; />
yes, they found a spent cartridge from my Uzi; />
no,they had not bothered to check the range or angle of fire to see ifthat could possibly have been the bullet which allegedly hit NasserWafi; />
no, they had not been able to run an identity parade to ask the Arab eye-witnesses if I was the shooter; />
no, they could not explain why it was impossible to do an identity parade; />
no, they could not find any photographs of me to carry out a photographic identity parade; />
yes, the police have both cameras and photographers; />
yes, I was in police custody at the time; and />
no, they could not explain why the police did not think of photographing me in order to run a photographic identity parade.

The next hearing--the third--had been scheduled for 10 October, a weekand a half later. at the end of the hearing, the funny thinghappened: the Judge, Ruth Barkai, casually mentioned that, by the way,she has another case that day, a more important case, in which she willbe one of the panel of three judges. therefore, she postponed thenext hearing by another month...to 6 November. />
Myattorney, Baruch Ben-Yosef, drew her attention to the fact thatmeanwhile, while the court takes its own sweet time, a man is sittingin jail. Barkai, with admirable restraint and a sharp glance atattorney Ben-Yosef, said: "Yes, I know. no problem. November,9:00 in the morning." />
Now, it's not that the court isincapable of acting quickly; after all, when it comes to bringing inthe alleged Arab eye-witnesses (who, the court said, had to appearbefore the disengagement) there was no problem at all in speeding upthe process. more that the individual's liberty is consideredcheap and dispensable. />
And so, I have a recommendation forthe honorable Court of Justice: instead of postponing the next hearingto 6 November 2005, postpone it instead to 22 June 2008. willsolve a lot of problems: no one--neither the lawyer for theprosecution, nor the lawyer for the defense, nor Her Honour the Judgeis yet taken up on that day. more importantly: by then, I willhave been under arrest for three years, by which time the verdict ofguilty/not guilty will be irrelevant. if I am not guilty, I willbe released forthwith; and if the Court should decide that I am guilty,then I will already have served the required time in prison. that2008 hearing can be brief--no more than a few moments needed to rise asHer Honour the Judge enters the courtroom. this, of course, willsave the Honourable Court much of its precious time. />

So now Toulouse is burning. I was born there; yes I was, and it happened a month after Hitler invaded. Toulouse, far off in the south of France, was spared the Roundup, at least for a while, until the noose tightened. The Roundup of Paris is a whole other story that needs separate attention. There's no time to go into that now. But wait, we do have to talk about this, if only for a paragraph or two.Back in Paris, on July 16-17, 1942, the French police seized 12,884 Jewish men, women and children and sent them off to the Velodrome d'Hiver stadium; no food, no water, no nothing. From there, these citizens of France were loaded onto cattle cars for shipment to Drancy en route to Auschwitz.The clincher here is that the Gestapo asked for only about half that number - but here the French police, never known for their efficiency, were quick and offered up a bonus for the ovens. To his everlasting credit, French film heartthrob Alain Delon did a movie about something like this Mr. Klein. Get this movie if you can.Altogether, though, this is personal, what's going on in Toulouse, and it's being served up with mixed emotions. Nothing is that simple.My parents prospered there, in Toulouse, before the Nazi invasion. My mother ran a salon and one of my father's best friends was a cleric very high in the Catholic Church. They studied Talmud together. This wonderful priest - whom we called the Archbishop, though I'm not sure he was exactly that - would toss me in the air, play dominoes with my sister, Sarah, and there was much laughter when he came to visit.It was good to be Jewish in those days. Jews were tops in the arts and sciences and, yes, served honorably and gallantly in the French military.My sister's best friend, a Catholic playmate named Incarnation, refused to start her day until she knocked on our door to ask if Sarah can come out to play. They were the best of friends. Later, by the way - actually, the day the Nazis marched in - Incarnation declined Sarah. She called Sarah a "dirty Jew". Like I said, it was good to be a Jew in Toulouse. Another good friend of my father's was the chief of police - and this becomes important, because soon enough, it was not good to be a Jew. The Vichy administration moved along and now it wanted, well, us. Nothing personal, except that we were Jews. But let's get this straight, now that we are on the outs with France. (We have not liked France for some time, and for good reason.)So, let's get this straight. Many of our Christian neighbors came to our aid. These offered to shelter us at the risk of their own lives. Our archbishop friend turned Toulouse upside down to get us off The List. Nothing doing. But we were somewhere in the middle of The List; and how did we know this? From my father, or rather from my father's connection with the chief of police.That was how it worked. Each day or so, the Gestapo would hand the chief of police a list of which Jews were to be rounded up. My father got those names ahead of time. That's how he saved hundreds of lives, my dad, by alerting these people that they were goners if they didn't pack up and escape right away. Those who didn't have enough money to pay or bribe the French Underground escorts, my father gave them the money; and that is how we arrived broke in Montreal (before moving to the United States). When our turn came to escape... Well, Sarah is writing this story, and I do wish she'd hurry up. As for me, I was too young to remember. I only know what I'm told.

But I had a plan. I'd return to Toulouse and find the records and maybe even find some people (very old, to be sure) who knew our family.I wonder if this is still possible, now that Toulouse is burning? Toulouse, like the rest of France, is now occupied by a different menace.

Now that we are at odds with France, we relish France its troubles. They asked for these people, and they got them. They got them all right.But something tells me that if Toulouse goes, so goes France, so goes Europe - and who knows where this stops. Like I said, it's not that simple.

The Arabs demand that they be given the sacred spot of the Holy of Holies, rights over the Temple Mount and the permit to raise there the flag of Jordan. The Government of Israel (in their willingness to concede) wanted to keep this (agreement) secret.

But in reality it is already days and weeks that this is known to Washington, the Arab Nations, and also to those who are pained by their lack of Jewish pride. They attempt to justify this step by saying this will prevent danger to life, with all their excuses. Yet in the mean time their negotiations continue together with the shocking fact that Jews are prepared to relinquish into their hands this most sacred spot to the extent of giving the permit to raise the flag of Jordan! Continuously we have stormed to prevent them from Internationalising the Old City of Jerusalem a city of three ruling governments. But they have reached a far lower state.

It may be asked: what difference does it make which flag flies there? It is irrelevant, does not bother anyone, and has no halachic problem? But the public is not grasping how frightful such a step is. Some years ago it was absolutely untenable that Jerusalem be ruled by several governments. It was further ruled out that Jerusalem be given the status of ex-territorial. Now a gentile has the audacity to state that he has total rights: not just over Hebron, Shechem, the Old City of Jerusalem. And more: he demands that the Holy of Holies be handed over to him, the Foundation Rock (of the Creation), and that he be given the rights to raise there the Jordanian flag!

They (The government of Israel piously) explain that this will save bloodshed, and one Jew is an entire world. The truth must be told - there is no link between the two.

The Talmud lays down the ruling that the Jewish people are the fiercest amongst the nations. ‘G-d gives strength to His People, G-d blesses His People with peace [Psalms 29.11]. The Midrash states [Song of Songs 2] ‘There is no strength other than Torah. When the Jewish People hold on to the Torah, they will survive. G-d will simply grant His People fortitude, and G-d will bless His People with peace. The Midrash [Yalkut Shimoni, Torah 267] relates that not only do Jewish people know of this fact, but the entire world community have heard that G-d gives His strength to His People and G-d will grant His People with peace. And this has reduced them to submissiveness to accept peace.

Here is something i wrote on lindsblog

Not to downgrade the severity and utter horror of kristelenacht. But in my eyes watching the shul's in gush katif burn, That hurt more. Watching as soldiers dragging out my friends and neighbors from their homes... smoke filling the ear, crying and weeping. tearing kriya...soldiers in black uniforms bashing down the doors... oh i'm sure you saw this on the news but they don't show you the heavy stuff... watching as my 5 year old neighbor david begging the soldiers for mercy, crying and pleading with them not to hurt his father.... i watched this. i watched as the kasam missile, the mortars and katayushka rockets were brought out and paraded to the troops... and then i went to the shul where we prayed, i watched as the army broke the door down and rushed in, beating and hitting me and my friends inside the shul. i watched through teary eyes as i was brutally dragged out and beaten with a torah scroll in my arms no less!!all this just 3 days after i sat on that very same stone floor and weeped over the destruction of jerusalem, 3 days later my shirt torn i weeped over the destruction of gush katif by my fellow brothers... the physical pain did not bother me, the clubs and rifle butts did not touch my soul, the hand cuffs and jail cells did not lock in my spirit... watching the shul's burn broke me and tore me to pieces... my rabbi who is a survivor of bergen belsen tells me this is how they felt in europe. their houses and possessions did not dent them. watching the torah scrolls burn is what shattered them.
p.s. while my blog contains a lot of what happend in gush katif, Even 3 monthes later i cant get myself to fully write down my feelings. as my rabbi who survived bergen belsen calls us "the survivors of gush katif destruction"

Increased alertness for fear of terror during Rabin's murder anniversary

Eyewitness: Radical Islam fanning French riots

Rioting French Muslims' violence may "remind us of the
intifada," but anti-Semitism does not appear to be playing a key part in the
current riots, according to Yves Azeroual, editor of the Tribune Juive.

While admitting that the French government had refused to admit
anti-Semitic motivation behind attacks in 2000, "in the past two years, with the
new government, the situation has improved. Now there is an agreement
between the Interior Ministry and the Jewish community over the number and
nature of the attacks, and that number has definitely gone down."

Azeroual, who was in Aulnay-sous-Bois, Clichy and other sites

While azeroual does admit the riots are fueled by radical islam, He denies the most important factor. To say anti semitism is not a key factor is pure insanity. What does a agreement with the interior mionistry have to do with the supposed decline in anti semitism ?

the French, we most certainly know that they are as a cobweb in a hurricane in
the face of well directed pressure.

Third, send this along to your
family, your friends, and your co-workers. Think of all of the people of good
conscience that you know and let them know that you and the people that you care
about need their help.

Just about 3 monthes has passed since the expolusion of gush katif, 12th of av which is august 17th. Dates that are forever etched in my head. I have so far not been able to write down my expirience in gush katif and my feelings on everything. I kind of freeze when i try, But i am going to force myself even just a little. We will start 3 years ago when i first came to israel. I lived in the settlement of tapuach in the shomron. I travelled alot thru judea and samaria, I asked my friend ari about going to gaza and he told me "gaza is shit dont go" And so i took his ill advise and never went. About 2 years ago after sharon anounced plans to destroy the settlements in gaza, I was in america then and I must admit i was kind of not intrested "whats in gaza anyways" i couldent even point out gaza on a map. During the winter of that year, they had a shabbat netzarim. So i said what the heck and went with my friend david. To tell you the truth i was completely clueless. as we drove down to karnei i was pissing my pants from fear.
We got to netzarim and i was awe struck "THIS is gaza?!?!" WOW and I fell in love.
It would be a love story and relationship that would span 2 years till now and last me till i die.
A love which would propell me to such extremes i could never have imagined. From attending demonstrations in the freezing cold, to a human chain accross the length of gaza to jerusalem, to blocking roads and geting arrested etc... And so with gush katif, netzarim alei sinai, nisanit, dugit, ganim, kedum, sa-nur, and chomesh firmly etched in my heart i went to war. At first it was a bunch of clueless people led by even more clueless leaders but then developed into more dumb masses following even worse asses. The original bumper stickers were so lame then that even if you paid me i wouldent hang one up now. from "conecting to our roots" to "the army warns uprooting settlements is a victory for terror" What you had was a disilusioned nation and youth who so firmly believed in zionism and the state, And so firmly backed likud! with sharon at its helm. I remember almost 2 years ago at kikar malchei yisrael (for those of you that dont know, it is also refered to as rabin square) It was under the banner "the likud does not want to give in" So we have here 250.000 people at this demonstration!
I was standing next to this dude who was holding a sign saying "sharon dont bend into US presure" Meanwhile the yeshu council had hired private security that was beating up and booting anyone with a sign they did not like. They stole kahane flags which in a funny twist the police forced them to return. The disengagement from the state started then, As me and 20 friends sat down when they sang hatikva... And so the winter went on. Summer came along with yet more rallies, The kenest voted for the disengagement. MORE rallies... summer went, winter came. tent city by the keneset. MORE rallies and lamer stickers "sharon is wrong the army is right" the yeshu council launches its refrendum. Me and my friends start spaming jerusalem with yellow stickers with a new slogan "a jew does not expell a jew" WOW we caused a storm. That slogan was way too taboo and extreme for the yeshu council... But it did pick up steam and it became very popular.. and then began the road blockings... which everyone knows.. so right before passover this year we drove down to gush katif to visit. we went to rafiach yam, moraq, neve dekalim, chuf temarim and sunset at shirat hayam... the days of glory.. it was nice and quiet there sooo beutifull... we had been trying to move to gush katif since around jan. of that year but they were only taking couples. after passover ephraim tells me they are moving to gush katif to a abandoned hotel.. no toilets, no water, no electricity... NADA but its on the beach... to be continued...Next chapter i will talk about maoz hayam (the hotel) and tal yam. and their eventual expolusions.

'AIDS rapist' sentenced to 25 years

Tel Aviv District Court on Tuesday sentenced Ghana-born Chris Serfo to 25
years in prison for having sexual relations with three women even though he knew
he had AIDS, and for raping another woman and infecting her with AIDS before it
was clearly established that he knew he had the disease.
In July, the court
had convicted Serfo of rape, perpetrating an act likely to spread disease,
making threats and aggravated assault.
As a result of his actions, three of
the four women who lodged complaints against him are infected with AIDS and
seriously ill. At the time of his sexual relations with the first plaintiff, in
1997, it could not be established that he had the disease. However,
after he raped her and she became pregnant, the young woman went for a
checkup and found that she had become infected with HIV. The woman told Serfo
what happened and urged him to be tested.

Serfo ignored her advice and continued to maintain sexual relations with
other women. Two of them lodged complaints against him after they also
contracted AIDS. The first of these affairs began in 1998 and lasted until April
2001. The second began in December 2001 and lasted until April 2002. A fourth
woman met Serfo in October 2002 and had sex with him once. She did not develop
AIDS. The women also testified that Serfo abused them and used violence against
them.

to reach the hospital area and set a nearby car on fire, badly damaging
it.Another group of youths tried to reach the hospital and was prevented from
doing so by police officers. "Apparently the police does not want calm
in the area. They murdered Samir and renewed our intifada here. All entrances to
the village are blocked and resident went out to block the road and to burn
tires," one resident of the village said.

De Villepin said moves were already under way to strengthen the intelligence-gathering capability of French authorities, noting that some of the violence had been organized through Internet blogs that have now been shut down.
In order for French society to provide the same changes and opportunities to all its citizens, said de Villepin, 30 billion euros will be spent in France's riot zones, with the focus primarily on helping young people.
The prime minister said the French employment agency would focus on 239 hot zones to help provide jobs for 1.5 million people. France's national unemployment rate is about 10 percent, but in areas hit by rioting the level is nearer 40 percent.
He said money will be spent to provide apprenticeships for students 14 years old and older who want to leave school. But he stressed the program will allow those young people to go back to school to gain the knowledge they need to succeed better at the jobs.
In addition, said de Villepin, funds will be channeled toward providing 100,000 scholarships as well as providing better access to upper-level colleges and universities.
To entice people off state subsidies and back to work, de Villepin said, unemployed workers will get 1,000 euros plus a monthly supplement to go back to jobs.
De Villepin announced the creation of an agency for "social cohesion" which will go into riot zones, be in direct contact with mayors and local officials, and provide programs to deal with hot-button issues like joblessness and discrimination.
In addition, he announced that local associations, such as civic and religious groups, would receive 100,000 euros for outreach programs.

Thursday, 03 November 2005 Hitler's infamous question is being asked anew by Moslem immigrants, characterized by French Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy as "thugs" and "scum," now into their eighth day of violence in Parisian slum suburbs.

French President Jacques Chirac promptly condemned Sarkozy rather than the Moslem rioters. Such talk by Sarkozy - Chirac's main political rival - showed a "lack of respect" for the rioters, which "could lead to a dangerous situation."

Further confirmation that France is doomed.

The French whimper about the cause of the rioting being "poverty" and "frustration over unemployment." The problem is not that these Moslem kids are unemployed, but that they are unemployable. They are illiterate, unskilled except in crime, but don't speak French well, refuse to assimilate into French culture and think being Moslem is more important than being French. Worse, they are paid by the French welfare state not to work, living well off the dole (and crime).

The problem was epitomized by these words of a young Moslem rioter to a French reporter: "In the day we sleep, go see our girlfriends, and play video games. And in the evening we have a good time: we go and fight the police."

All of the rioters are Moslem from Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, and other French African colonies. Most are second and third generation kids whose parents or grandparents illegally snuck into France. The obvious solution would be to ship them back to Africa - but this cannot be done because they claim French citizenship.

There are some 8 million of these folks in France now, over 12% of the total French population of 60 million. They have a 50% growth rate per decade, while that of non-Moslem French is either zero or negative, as French women refuse to have babies. In less than 20 years, Moslems will comprise over 30% of the people in France.

As the riots are making clear, the crisis is far more immediate - for in many Parisian suburbs and entire French cities like Lyon, Marseilles, Lille, Strasbourg, and Montpellier, Moslems are already a majority of the youth (folks under 30).

It is very hard to see a way out of this, for the Moslemification of France seems baked into the demographic cake. It is one of the greatest ironies of our time. There is no nationality more insufferably arrogant than the French regarding the superiority of their culture - their history, their language, their cuisine, their sophistication, their savoir faire, their unique importance to humanity, the whole cultural melange.

And they are giving it all up, turning it over to Moslems - Moslems not even from France! The French, of all people, are committing auto-genocide upon their own culture.

Maybe Sarkozy can squelch the rioters, get elected French President, and inform French Moslems that France is a European Christian nation and if any of them have a problem with that, get out of France and move to a Moslem country. Maybe "Sarko," as his admirers call him, can convince French mothers to have more babies and Moslem mothers less.

Maybe, but not likely. I first told you about Sarkozy in in Sarko vs. Eurabia last January. Since then, I'm less optimistic. A more probable outcome is the future described in The Mosque of Notre Dame de Paris last month.

So let's wish Sarko luck with the riots, as he may be France's last hope. If he fails, France's fate will be summed up in the famous two words of the Roman historian Livy (59 BC-17 AD), Vae victis- Woe to the vanquished.

In an incredibly fast reversal of traditional policy Chiraq disavowed more discussions and decided on immediate and forceful action to quell the increasing civil unrest in the disadvantaged slums of France as well as central Paris and the outlying towns..

A Government spokesman quoted Chirac as saying, " We no longer have the option of remaining passive in this clear threat to the civil order and stability of the French government. For this reason I am ordering the immediate deployment of both the Legion and the Army to suppress the insurgents in the most expedient manner and with whatever force is required, including orders to shoot to kill and execution of rioters on the spot."

Mr. Chirac went on to say, "These are not Frenchmen in the true sense of adhering to the behavior associated with Frenchness and, as such, are not to be treated as French citizens. They are in reality no more than murderous street thugs and are to be treated accordingly."

Chirac's firm statements shocked and surprised both members of the press and junior members of his staff. Mr. Chirac has been on heavy doses of medication since the fifth day of the unrest and this might have contributed to his surprising show of toughness and resolve.

The Legion is noted for following orders to the letter and is expected to commence street executions within hours of deployment.

A Gentile will Accept this Truth Immediately!

Rashi emphasises that the Gentile needs to clearly know that everything belongs to G-d. ‘He initially gave the land to them, then to us’. No one is in denial that nations lived there. Yet, as He gave it to them, so did He choose to take it from the nations and give it to the Children of Israel. G-d informed His people that they (not be seated in the house of learning and study this with a friend, but) convey this message to the gentile. Openly and shamelessly, to the entire world. That a five year old will understand.

Stated with conviction, the gentile will immediately accept this. For a Jew to accept an open truth, he needs to battle with himself. A gentile is not faced with such decision making. He will understand and accept this truth immediately. Especially bearing in mind that the Torah wants this message to reach the gentile.

True, it is forbidden to study the Oral Law with a gentile. But he should be taught the Seven Noachide Laws. (Maimonides explains that at a time when the Jewish people are strongly established they have the obligation to coerce the gentile to observe the basic Seven Noachide Laws of human existence.) One of these is ‘Do not steal’. The gentile need be taught that if the land of Israel is in his possession, this constitutes theft. Transgressing one of these incurs the death sentence. If careful of this, he merits life. When the land of Israel is not in his hands – this is for his good.

Not as is argued by those that purport to ‘pursue peace’ that if Israel is not held by the gentile, it is bad for him. To the exact contrary: specifically when the Land of Israel is not handed over to him, is this for his good and thereby does he merit life. No portion may be handed over. (Every inch is part of the borders of Israel). This constitutes theft. A gentile has no portion in the land of Israel!

At the Covenant (of the pieces) did G-d give the Land of Israel to the People of Israel. Prior thereto does the verse state (Genesis 13 / 15) ‘To you will I give it’. And further, (Genesis 15 / 8) ‘I have given it to your progeny’, it is given already! Rashi comments that the word of G-d is a given. From then on was the land of Israel ours.
